Boxers come in two colors Fawn and Brindle. I have never heard of a blue boxer.

Do a search on the forums. There was a post about a blue puppy before. If I recall correctly it was a temporary condition. Something to do with the birth.

I wouldn't put it past some people to breed blue "boxers" by crossing blue great danes and boxers. I'm pretty sure someone in my state does that. Also, a google search showed a "designer breed" site that stated blue boxers are a boxer crossed with a Scottish terrier.

I just happened to be at a website and "blue boxer" caught my eye. And they were advertising a white boxer with 1 blue eye, and 1 brown eye for sale. This was the first time I have ever seen it.

Mismatched eyes are common on white boxers (as common as coloured patches in the coat). So are backyard breeders advertising them as though its something rare or desirable (its neither).

When they advertise these "rare" colors, it really gives you a good idea on what kind of breeder they are. Lack of knowledge of the breed. Advertising "rarities" only for the benefit of charging more money. Makes me ill. These are breeder's that are destroying the bloodlines of the breed. All for the sake of money. Who can really put a price on the love we have for our babies? Money hungry back yard breeders and puppy mills, that's who.

After reading the last few posts on this subject, I cant help but feel as though they were directed at my comment. I think I was misunderstood when I said that "this was the first time Ive seen it". By that I meant that was the first time I've ever seen a white boxer with 2 different colored eyes referred to as a "blue boxer", not the first time I've ever seen a white boxer with 2 different color eyes. I would never call a white boxer with 2 different colored eyes "rare". Nor would I ever try to promote backyard breeders by advertising their fake eye catching gimmicks. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

I don't think we misunderstood, atleast I didn't. I was just on a banter about how they misrepresent the breed just to get more buyers. Money, money, money. It's sad for the breed. Any breed. They do it to a lot of them. I see it more in the boxers cause thats the ones I check out a lot in ads. The one that kills me the most, is those that advertise "miniture boxers"! What the heck are they? Boston terriers that are too big to be considered bostons? Are they funny looking French bulldogs? I mean, what are they really? Next time I'm gonna pretend to be interested just to see one of these "unicorns". LOL

I wonder if it's a mx with a "blue" pit, which is really just a grey. I saw a pit/boxer mix the other day and she was beautiful. She looked like a boxer but was a pretty dark grey and white.
