Question on color

I have a dumb question... lol, but I need to know anyway because I'll just think about it all day. We are getting a reverse brindle female this weekend. She's lighter with the stripes, I dunno if there is a special name. Anyway, her father looks dark almost black and the mom is light like she is. (the owner says the mom is darker but when the parents stand together he looks dark in the picture?). So my question... for her being a reverse brindle do you think they produce the "black" ones? I feel like I am in middle school and don't know the answer that is probably obvious

No, she wouldn't necessarily produce dark brindle puppies (or necessarily any brindle puppies at all - depending on exact genetics, she could produce a litter entirely fawn...). A "reverse" brindle dog is genetically no different from any other shade of brindle. All you're talking about is variations in the number of dark stripes the dog has, after all. Conceivably dark brindle parents might be expected to come up with more dark puppies than light brindle parents. But I don't believe you'll find any statistics to support it - but would find many contradictory examples
