Blood brothers and sisters
Most of you already know that Biff is longing for a wee white sister, and some of you may remember that Biff's Mum and Dad are planning to have another litter in December.
Now, Biff is the sweetest natured dog I've ever known, and I believe a lot of his good nature is due to breeding, and the nurturing he had in the first few weeks of his life (and I suppose DH & I could claim some credit for being good parents )
So I have no compunction in buying from this breeder again, but my question is, am I being naive in thinking that a pure blood sister of Biff's would be quite likely to have his beautiful nature?

Re: Blood brothers and sisters
It's reasonably likely, yes If the breeder pays attention to temperament in choosing which animals to breed, then a fair amount of consistency is reasonable to expect.
That said, there's always going to be some differences. I guess rather like human siblings, the personalities of litter mates can be quite diverse.

Thatcher and Gracie are from the same litter and are total opposites Thatcher is high strung, hyper and doesn't listen at all, Gracie is calm gentle and listens all the time I love them both the same though I do wish he'd take a few pointers from his sis!

Could be a wide variety of personalities, but depending on litter size, you can skew the odds in your favor by bribing the breeder to give you the best tempered puppy!
Just kidding, of course (about the bribe). But certainly talk to the breeder about what you're looking for in terms of personality. Having watched the first litter grow up, they may be able to predict with more confidence how the babies toddling around the kitchen floor may mature, both physically and temperamentally.

preachin' to the choir over here!! Maximus is so laid back, calm, obedient... Axe, on the other hand, is a sweetheart but SO hyperactive, i call him my ADHD kid! that boy has more energy than a jack russell!! he's so pawsy and begs for attention, where Maximus will come to you "if he feels like it" for lovin. both of them have great personalities, though, i will say. good luck!

I have blood sisters in Abby and Mia. We were so thrilled with Abby that my husband got me Mia as a suprise wedding gift. Same sire and Dam but oppisite in EVERY way. Abby takes after her grandsire. She is large and broad and the most gorgeous head and temperment. Mia is the spitting image of her mom. Small, refinded and a devilsh personality. Both dogs are remarkable smart. Abby wants to be the boss, Mia is easy going. Both were a handful to train but Mia is by far the most difficult because when bored she makes her own fun (God help us).
Mia's adolesence was almost the death of me but now it is behind me I can honestly say both dogs are the best I have ever had.
Biff's sis might be different but probably equally good.
