How old is Otto? Dukes head was a little pointy when he was younger but has since flattened out. He is nine months now and although he is still growing the shape of his head has already changed from the sweet baby face to the "boxier" adult skull.

Check out Hammer in my gallery! He was a major conehead! It does flatten out. Hammer's almost 10 months now and it's not pointy anymore!

conehead
otto's 4 months old today! he's getting big and he's changing everyday. looking at the pictures i took just a month ago show significant changes. not to mention, he's gotten very strong and very fast, lately. he's tough to beat at a dead sprint.

Zoe was a major conehead when I got her but it's flattening out.
The cone part is the occiput & flattens out with age & is what causes the boxers head to be 'square' shaped I do believe. Some correct me if I'm wrong...

It is normal for boxer babies to be coneheads. If they don't have that nice little cone, they are usually pretty broad at the skull with they grow up.

Since I did not get Lacy until she was 2 1/2 I had never seen the cone head until her babies started growing, when daddy and grandpa came to visit a couple weeks ago he told me daddy had the cone head which was gone by the time he was a year old, it is normal for boxer pups, thats what allows them to grow into the big beautiful boxers we love!!

oh yeah, Krose was definitely a big time conehead! It does flatten out and he has the biggest head in all of his litters. But he still has some filling to do. His mother's owner/vet said that Sheba (Krose's mother) didn't start his filling until she was abouyt 2 years old. So I guess Krose is on the right track

conehead
My Alex was a major conehead. His vet said that the cone was a sign of good breeding.
