Question Knobby head?

Hi,
Another question about my two boxers. I suppose it is only natural to look at the two of them and compare their differences...but, here is something else I noted. My 9 week old puppy has a knob? on his head. Not a lump or anything like that...it is the shape of his skull. My 3 year old boxer has a very smooth head. Jeez...I must not have anything better to do than to look at my dogs all day...lol. Anyways...what's with this?

Another thing. My 3 year old (Parker) has what would be described as entropic eyelids. She has no problem with them...vet says they look fine, just to keep watching so that she isn't having eyelashes scratching her eye. She has never had that problem to date. My 9 week old boy (Bear)...has the exact opposite...extropic eyelids. Are there any problems associated with having the more droopy type of eyelids? Just wondering... Cindy W.

When we got Jasmine (now 9 months) I noticed the same "lump". From what I understand it is completely normal. She will grow into her own head. Jasmine is just now started to grow out of looking like a puppy. I am not sure about the eye thing though. Congrats on your new puppy!!!!

Boxer heads change *a lot* during puppyhood. A "smart bump" is normal and common. As for the droopy eyelids, they should tighten up (and loosen, and tighten, and loosen, and tighten...) as he matures. There's a lot of waiting involved in Boxer puppy heads!
