Yes - you would know them as fawn That colour is known as 'red' in a number of other countries (UK amongst them). The wording of the UK standard still actually follows the fawn terminology though.

Notwithstanding that there are many different shades of fawn/red, often in these parts of the world they are actually a redder shade of fawn than is common in North America (whilst pale tan is uncommon here). I suspect it is due to less constant fawn/fawn breedings, and in many cases, less emphasis on flash.

Riley is more red than most of the fawns I have seen here. Her dad was a really red fawn and her mother was a brownish fawn. I love her coloring. If you look at my gallery you will see a pic of her standing up licking Max. This is really the color she is in real life. The other pics don't really show how red she is.

Worth noting also is that all the breed standards describe the fawn (or red ) colour as ranging from pale tan right through to deep deer red. So whilst some shades might be more common in some populations than others, the whole range does exist and is perfectly correct for the breed

Thumbs up

Our Mason actually has something of a reddish stripe down his back, and his sides are a lighter shade, closer to the "normal" fawn brownish coloring. The red is so deep and full, it's truly striking.

My Lucy is a red-head too! She is more a fox red. I agree, the red definately pops in the sunlight.
