Thumbs up Our babies finally have a date to get neutered

April 28th, is the day that our babies will be getting neutered. Our appointment is at 8:00 and I have already asked for the day off at work.

How long should we keep the two from any kind of play and is there anything else I should know?

I am sure your boxers will be fine. I would take the day off work after the neuter, rather than the same day. Then you will be home and can try and keep them calm. They will be up and wanting to run around in no time.

Jan does have a point. I picked Titan up the same day of his neuter and he didnt get out of bed until almost 9pm that night. He layed around all afternoon just sleeping off the days excitement. He was better by the next day though and was up trying to move around. I had the laser surgery done on him so there was no stitches to get pulled out. He was fine by the next day though. Try to keep your babies as calm and quiet as possible--hard I know with boxers. Good luck with your boys and remember no ACE.

I had Samantha spayed on a Thursday and took Friday off and had the weekend to be with her and glad that I was home because the next day she was trying to be back to her energetic self and glad that I was here to keep her as calm as I could.

I made sure the surgery was on a Friday so I had the weekend to spend with them. I have school on Saturday from 9:00 A.M -3:00 P.M, but my Hubby will be there all day to be with them. It'll probably be hard not to shed a tear when I drop them off, but it is the very best thing for them.

Thanks for all of your advice!!
