Question Birthday Pressies (Ideas)

I'm gonna start ordering Rogue's birthday gifts soon. I'm getting her a sparkly tag, & food bowls with her name on them.

Any other gift ideas for a first birthday??

Elvis got various squeeky toys and chews, and a new tag for his collar.

Dont forget a birthday cake!!! I made Elvis a doggy one with choccy drops all over the top. Lucky his birthday is in the summer and we had a barbeque.

We got Cooper (non toxic) bubbles... Me or my daughter blows the bubbles for him, and he will jump and chomp at them, he has such a good time!! The best is when he gets his eye set on one and he chases it off the deck just to give it a cat-like bat in the grass!!!

I like the bubbles idea. Now I'm gonna have to find out where I can buy flavoured ones?

Ruby's one this month aswell, I seen a great bubble machine on It's me or the dog on channel 4, with bacon flavoured bubbles, maybe if you go on the site it will piont you in the right direction. That's what i want to get Ruby as she loves bubbles.
What would you make the cake out of, just interested, as I thought of this too but don't know where to start. The kids have already started making birthday cards and hats, poor Ruby!

There is a recipe on the dog recipe page somewhere for a cake made with liver I think. My friend at work said she makes a cake on her dogs birthday, she gets a tin of dog meat and sticks some dog biscuits in it around the edge. It's a real treat she said as her dog eats dry kibble too.
I think, sorry I know, that Lola would LOVE some wet dog meat. Ok not healthy really and poor quality but hey it is her birthday

My daughter said you'll have to invite Vegas & Rolo over (her doggy friends).

Tracey, I know tinned food isn't great hear but for health reasons i can't feed dry to Ruby. I feed her Chappie with fish, a bit stinky but she loves it and since she been on it she increased weight by nearly a stone and a half, maybe you could use this for the cake. Think its one of the better canned foods, also while label looking in tescos this week I noticed Butchers have a new range with no cereal or soya bulk so this is another option, think I'm going to try Ruby on this next, for a change.

I saw a doggie bubbles at our local Petsmart. Do you have Petsmarts? Probably your local pet store would have them...
