He said NO how can i change his mind!!

I want another puppy. My fiance said NO! He said he doesnt want another dog. I want to wait until Maverick is around 13-14 months old hes 10 months now. how can i talk him into getting me another puppy. he just bought a new BOW for hunting 600.00 and i said you got a new BOw why cant i have another puppy? just to make him feel bad. he said well i dont have to take my bow to the vet every other week. lol i was like i dont take mav to the vet every week acutally i was really bad for the first couple of months we had him but ihad never had a puppy before.he said i dont have to feed my bow i said well if it tears up you have to get it fixed. lol it was funny bc while we were talking about it maverick was chewing on the bushes and i said now dont you want another dog chewing on the plants like that thats so cute. lol he just laughed. everyday i say aww look how sweet mav is being and how cute he is hes like yeah he is cute and WE ARE NOT GETTING ANOTHER DOG!!!! end of discussion ohhhhhhhh i hate it when he says that. help me please i really want one!!!

oh yeah we are going to wait i could not handle a puppy right now anyways!! yeah we really cant afford one right now anyways. they are just so dang cute one of our friends is breeding her boxer in about six months we will prob get one from her. her dad is our vet. so mav will be older then.

I want another puppy too! And of course DH says NO!! I think that Nora needs a playmate (not to mention that I need the extra lovins and puppy breath), but all he ever says when I ask is "It just wouldn't be fair to Nora to give her away so you can have a puppy!" HA!! Guess we'll be a one dog house for a while. But if you figure out a way to change his mind let me know. Good Luck!

im going through the same thing, i have chloe and maxi and cat stubby, i would love another boxer but my husband just doesnt want another pet right now and its something i have to respect you cant bring in an animal when one person doesnt want it its not right to the animal or the person. be grateful for your baby and that you at least are fortunate to have him, thats what i think when i get depressed about not getting another dog or even cat for that matter and to be honest i guess i do have my plate full with the 3 of them but those urges are hard to fight.

I tested those waters yesterday myself. Not that I actually CAN have another dog (Indy is very dog aggressive) right now. I am moving next week and have started to pack up my house, and I found my old spare kennel (forgot I had the darn thing!).

I was feeling a little delirious from lack of sleep, and wanted to joke, so I told Cam "now we can get another dog, we already have the kennel!". He looked at me like I had two heads and said "don't you think we have enough on our hands with one aggressive boston and a cat + boxer who don't get along??? We don't have enough rooms to keep them all separated, we'd have a bloodbath!"

Then he did go on to say that he loves Indy like crazy and he will absolutely want another boston when she goes to the bridge (very top of mind for me, she's turning 11 soon), and he likes Diesel a lot too and said he can live with my boxer obsession and I will always have one. But I should not expect him to get a membership at BW!!

My husband asked if he could get some stuff done to his Harley which was about 1,200.00 and i siad yes only if i can get another puppy,he said okay. Now you know he only said yes so he can get stuff done to his bike.

ohhh I know how you feel lol. I tell my bf almost every other day that I want another puppy-- his reply "you already have a puppy" and to that I reply with..well Cinnamon is 13 months old.. she snot a puppy and she wants a friend she told me so. I dont really have the time for one right now and he knows it anyway so i guess hes just telling me the cold hard truth... but eventually it will happen!

I've been going back and forth with my wife on this one! I want a playmate for Arty...as does she. So we will go out looking at dogs/puppies, find one and think about it. We will go home, Arty will do something or have to go to the vets, and she says "That's it, we are not getting another dog". Of course then we are out somewhere and she sees a dog and thinks about it again...

It's only a matter of time !

My hubby is easy to persuade. All you have to do is use your inititive, a few romps around the bedroom usually gets me what I want, rofl
