Almond Pound cake... yum.
I have a funny story to share.
Right now I am watching a friend's Doberman Pincher, Clare. I just started a part-time job selling Tastefully Simple. Last night I had a party and needed to make the almond pound cake for that party. I needed butter for the cake, so I needed to run to the store. I left the two girls (Care and my Boxer, Shelby) home while I ran to the store. I had left the mix on the counter, where i was getting ready to make it. I came home and as soon as I walked in the door I saw two dogs covered in dough and powder/dough all over the floor. They had gotten the mix off the counter and riped into it. The cake only takes butter and water, so their slobber basically turned it into a batter. It was everywhere, on their paws, on the carpet, and all over their muzzles. I was so mad at first (thank goodness I had another package of the mix to make), but after I got it all cleaned up (not easy as there was dough ground in to the carpet), it was actually kind of funny. I took the two dogs to daycare today and I still don't think I got all the dough off of them. I did nothave time to bath them both, I plan on doing that tonight. I forgot to mention it to them at the daycare, I hope they don't wonder what that sticky stuff is gound into their wiskers. I did get most of it off with a wet cloth, but it all would not come. Clare has sensative skin, so I am going to have to call her mom to see what to use on her for a bath.
