Our first experience @Petsmart & Dog Park..

On Saturday we took Tuggy up to PetSmart to get him his special collar. He needs it for "Bad" Boy School(Obedience class). Well we got the collar, he wanted to visit every single dog that was in the store. It is a good thing I had dh with me! First dog was a 11 week old Pit bull, well the pit bull wanted NO part of tuggy except to growl at him, and act all big & tough. Tuggy just looked at him, like "Why are you growling silly boy". Then he found a Pug, well the pug wanted to play, but pug's mommy didn't want him to play wth Tuggy. OH..poor Tuggy, he may be big, but he is really a baby and wimpy!

Then he met the woman of his dreams, he met a 9 month old bulldog. The two of them hit it off, while we were in line, they were wrestling on the floor, and taking turns kissing each other. The bulldog outweighed him, but he had height on her. She pined him down and kissed him, then he pined her down. They were just having a grand old time playing. He had to leave his g/f though because her mommy was leaving, and we were leaving also.

Then we went to the dog park to get rid of some of that "boxer energy". He was the only one there, the weather was off & on showers, but at that time it hadna't rained in a hwile. Well tuggy started running laps around the fence. He ran like 8 times full speed around the fence line. Then ran to daddy, jumped up and got daddy in the ouchie area. Which made me laugh, because DH called him to come see him. Then Tuggy ran the other direction.

When we were all done, I got to carry him to the truck, and he was sound asleep within 20 minutes of being in the car. He slept all afternoon, and until about 2:15 Sunday Morning, then he wanted to be in bed with mommy & daddy.

We also got the "Bad Cuz", and a couple of other toys. DH grumbled about spending 50.00, but it is a lot better then if we went skin-kid shopping! He also LOVES the "Bad Cuz", just figured out how to make it squeak!

Today he is at the vet, getting neutered. I am SURE he is going to be real mad at mommy tonight, but I will give him LOTS of lovings.

Sounds like a blast! Maybe all that fun time and new toys will ease his pain. Basil wasn't mad at us after his neuter so maybe Tuggy will be the same.

Oh the life of a dog huh!, sounds like Tuggy had a great day! Thanks for sharing. The dog park bit made me laugh , hope DH is all better. He will still love you tons (maybe even a teeny bit more) after his vet experience - after all you are doing what is best for him right? Get well Hug & kisses to Tuggy.
