Smile louie has a strange way of greeting strangers

My mother-in-law was over last weekend to have a cookout and wanted to see the new puppy. Needless to say he was all wiggles and jumps. But he was also something else. He was peeing all over the place. Now I thought boy he really likes her. So this past weekend, I took him with me to the pet store to get his food, and as soon as he saw the lady in there wanting to pet him he started peeing again. Now as far as i understand this is that he is excited, and i can't complain, atleast he isn't aggressive towards strangers, but its not exactly the greatest thing for the person petting him to recieve back. I don't mind it but just out of curiousity, does this go away?? Needless to say he is a very happy baby and well loved even by strangers.

Talking

Sirus had this problem for about a month...after the month was over...he never did it again. The very strange thing about it is that he only did it with men. I don't ever remember him peeing on a woman.
Maybe his manners are better than I thought...mommy learned him good!

Joe drives me crazy with this! I hate to say he is now 14 months old, and he still does it. It seems like any time someone comes over, I'm on my hands and knees with Nature's Miracle and paper towels. The vet seems to think that Joe will grow out of this, but I too wonder when. I have tried to have people ignore him when they come in until he settles down, and that seems to help.Good luck!

Cypress is 5 and he still pees when someone new comes to the house. We have learned to have people not pet him right away and he calms down. Oddly when we go somewhere he is familiar with (ie Grandmas or Uncle Jareds) they can pet him right away without any pee. But when they come to our house it is a different story.

Brenin, one Boxer that we had, used to do that; when we moved and took him to another vet, the vet said that it was due to cutting too near a nerve when he was neutered. A friend of ours used to say that he was a fancy pee'er! as he would make all different patterns on the ground.

Hmm..Dasia is now 3 years old and she use to do it quite often when younger. But very rarely she will have a excited pee when she sees certain people. Its not full on peeing but a sprinkle. =/ Not sure if this is something that will go away...I hope it does, I hate shampooing the carpet when company comes.

I noticed though what helps is when you know company is coming taking them out right before.
