I'm also very glad that she was caught. Unfortunately, she'll probably get away with paying a fine or some sort of probation. The system is really messed up when it comes to cruelty to animals. The punishments are nowhere near where they should be .
What's really scary for myself though is that the street that she lives on (according to the paper) is about a 10-15 minute walk from my house!! I don't know this person, but to think this could've happened to Fraser so close to my house!! Definitely makes me more cautious about the people in my area. You just never know!!

I hope the man that has this sick woman as a girlfriend gets rid of her. She may be doing the same thing to him one day. "I do not think her pudding is quite cooked". Sick sick person.

I almost wish I never read the article, it was terrible, the simple fact that there are people like that in the world makes me sick.

Outraged!
Hooray for fraser!
That woman should be treated the same way she treated poor Fraser.
I think I'm going to write a few Letter to the Editor's. As for her trial date, I'd like to be there, I wonder if any fellow N.H. Boxer lovers would like to join me. That's if the public is allowed. I think I'll check into this.
She should not be allowed to ever have any type of pet for the rest of her life, and she obviously needs a psychiatric evaluation.
More (((((vibes))))) to fraser.

The fact that she is keeping a closed mouth makes the story even more skeptical. I'm sure they are out there, but it seems to me that what happened to Frazier was not not just the doing of one woman. And what medication does he need? I don't know, this whole thing seems fishy. And I really hope they have taken this other dog she bought away from her! They should not be allowed to keep it!

Keep in mind that this story is very third (or maybe fourth?) hand. The woman who posted this said it is her husband's brother's girlfriend, and that she's a nutcase. The medication may have been for the pneumonia the dog had, but other than that, he didn't have any big health problems, so I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense. The boyfriend of the nutcase may have had something to do with it, and if that's the case, I'm betting the nutcase will turn him in. But I don't see why one woman could not have done this. One man certainly could have done this, and it wouldn't have taken much strength - just a very very sick mind.

I agreee that something does not add up. I can not believe you would do this to an ill animal. The meds were probably for the pneumonia. I would love to be the courtroom for this trial. I think Fraiser should be in the front row of the court room showing the judge and jury how wonderful he is.

There is definately something fishy about the story. It doesn't say what Fraser was on medication for. It would be good if he has another illness sothe rescue can make sure he's treated and placed correctly. Fraser had pneumonia and was underweight. Didn't he have kidney problems as a result of not being able to urinate? It sounds like he was abused long before they left him on the side of the road.
I hope the judge takes their new pup away from them...one only knows what might make her do the same thing to this one. I can't imagine what she might do to a child as well. What if her child is diabetic - is she going to throw him/her on the side of the road too?
Maybe we should all write letters to the judge & prosecutor. Sometimes this can help increase the sentance. Any thoughts?

Anyone interested in writing a letter on Frasier's behalf can send the letter to:
Concord District Court
Attn: Clerks Office
32 Clinton Street
Concord, NH 03301
(603) 271-6400
The monster who did this is: Melissa Cere. Her address is 175 Boynton St. Manchester, NH - I got this out of the paper....not sure what info you need so I just included it. I know we need at least her name.
Please make sure you address it to the clerks office and they will attach the letter to the file. It is against the law to write directly to a judge. The judge reviews the letters in the file before her trial.
The court date is 4/20 so please send the letters with enough time to reach the court house and be placed in her file. I think if enough people write, it could make a difference. I remember reading about Buster in FL and the judge gave a harsher sentance due to public outrage...we'll be sending our letter this week.
