It was such a nice day in Wellington today (and one of last, I suspect, as its autumn now) that I decided to take the two ratbags out for a walk. I took them down to Oriental Parade (street that runs alongside the harbour/beach) so that Henry in particular (4.5 mths old) would get some socialisation around lots of people. Its a nice easy walk, so good for the little guy, and also very popular with families.
So little Henry is strutting along, seeing all the sights, when we come upon a couple with a young child (about 18 mths, I think) that was throwing a tantrum. Apparently she didn't want to go back to the car... Anyway, then she saw wee Henry (everbody just loves a puppy

including, it would seem, kids in the middle of tantrums). So the tantrum stops, and the wee girl is all smiles again while Henry (expert cuddle stealer that he is) just sits himself down beside her and and cuddles back.
Lucky for her mum and dad that we were going in the direction they'd been trying to - cause she ran right along behind Henry all the way back to their car. LOL, fortunately he saw a seagull to chase at that point - else there might have been another tantrum when she figured he wasn't going home with her!
