I took the liberty (thank you Crabby69) of assembling a listing of the Zodiac signs and the information Crabby69 so graciously posted about each sign. I did a little editing to remove certain dog/owner names and make it more generic for all dogs.

I thought it might be more convenient to look up your dog's sign on one listing page. If you need something added or edited, just let me know and I'll make sure it gets added/edited.

ARIES

(March 21 - April 20) Your Aries is straight forward. He lets you know what he wants and usually doesn't give in until he gets it. With Aries it's not the eyes that are so expressive, it's the eyebrows. You can always tell WHEN they are thinking but it is difficult to determine just WHAT they are thinking. They love to teach and know that they can show you how to get to the top. They are hard workers and don't necessarily ask for the recognition of their success.

They can't lie well. What you see is what you get. If you have a chance to ride the coattails of an Aries, jump on and hang on. They will show you the way to the top complimenting you on your progress the whole way.

Part of being the 'baby' of the zodiac, the Aries can be a bit egocentric. Not in the outward way of the Leo but more to himself. Almost as if he feels guilty about it. But they are not shy.


TAURUS

(April 21 - May 21) caries the symbol of the bull and, well, what can I say. Does your dog head-butt things? Or maybe he is just really stubborn and likes to get his way. The taurus is the artist of the zodiac. I am not sure how that translates to the dog world. Perhaps he decorates his crate or his area of the house. Does he have a certain way of arranging his toys? Does he make abstract designs with his kibble all over the floor before he eats it? Taurus is also said to be selfish or stingy. Have you checked the nooks and crannies of your house for hidden toys, treats, or kibble that he is saving for a 'rainy day'? Maybe he is just a bed hog.


GEMINI

(May 22 - June 21) carries the symbol of the twins. This can show up as a split personality. I don't mean happy one minute and sad the next, I mean opposite ends of the spectrum! They are also an air sign but have better luck than some of the other air signs of keeping their paws on the ground while their heads are in the clouds. Probably due to their alter egos.

Geminis will frequently surprise the hell out of you by doing something you consider totally out of character? That's the Hyde side. Does your dog tire in the middle of a game and decide to do something totally different, even fall asleep? Does your dog forget to eat one day and act as if he's starving the next?

Geminis are also creative like the taurus, but more along the lines of dancing or acting. Geminis may also be good at doing two things at once, like eating and scratching, or sniffing and peeing. In fact, many Geminis are not happy unless they are doing two things at once.



CANCER

(June 22-July 23) Cancers are extremely emotional and sympathetic. Cancer is the 'mother' of the zodiac. They love to cook - and eat. And home can be the whole world for Cancers. They can be moody as they are ruled by the moon and are affected by it as are the tides.

Cancer is a water sign and its symbol is the crab (thus my screen name). They like to be close to the water, not necessarily in it, we're happy floating on top of it. When they are wronged or hurt, they tend to crawl into their shells and pout for a bit. But even with those claws, they find it difficult to carry a grudge.

Oh, and they rarely ever go after anything they want straight on, they scamper around from side to side and eventually sneak up on it from behind!


LEO

(July 24 - August 22) Having two Leos in the house must be quite an adventure! Please don't take this the wrong way but Leos are ruled by the sun. And where in the universe is the sun? Seriously though, my two best friends are Leos and are married to each other. They are each equally convinced that they are the 'lord of the jungle'. But they have wonderful bright and shining personalities and are out favorites to visit and travel wit.

Leos are a fire sign and are ruled by the sun. Leo is a natural ruler. I think in general, Leo's like to be the center of attention. After all, the Sun is the center of the universe. The good side of that is that they have a shining personality and are a lot of fun to be around.


VIRGO

(Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) Virgo is the symbol of the virgin. Whatever that means to a dog is beyond me. Virgo's are very clean. If your dog could learn to use a lint brush it would probably clean up its own hair off the furniture! It might lay for hours just cleaning itself like a cat. Or maybe it walks on its tip-toes in the mud with a disgusted look on its face when it simply has to answer nature's call on a rainy day. Maybe you don't have to clean the scattered kibble from floor around its bowl like the rest of us do because, of course, it does that itself. Does it like its baths?

They are said to be loners. That hasn't been my personal experience with my Virgo friends though. They do like to keep a side of themselves hidden. They like to believe they are mysterious and intriguing. It's how they get people to draw them out. They're great at a good game of 'hard to get'.

A Virgo fits in just about anywhere because he generally has no need to be 'accepted'. He is perfectly comfortable with who he is and generally doesn't need validation of his importance. That makes him somewhat opposite the Leo. It is always more interesting to look at how the signs interact with each other than just looking at one specific sign. Virgo tends to believe that everyone should be able to go through life like he does, not needing it, so he might not go out of his way to 'notice' you. This isn't a bad quality. The Virgo just has a hard time understanding that most souls need other souls around to feel comfortable.


LIBRA

(September 24 - October 23). The Libra carries the symbol of the scales, as in justice. While the Libra may not make the best judge, she can see all sides of a debate and tries very hard to make the 'litigants' see each other's side as well. Dogs probably don't have a much of a grasp on the law but they do know or at least can be taught right from wrong. They are the peacemakers of the zodiac and they really just want everyone to be happy and get along. Compromise is the key.

They don't collect things like some of the other signs do because they simply can't make up their mind what to collect. This boxer may be more willing than most to put off the walk until you're ready. They are patient and kind and willing to let others have their way.

They are always ready with a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on but they will seize the opportunity


SCORPIO

(October 24 - November 21) Scorpios are the 'lovers' of the zodiac. I bet it was the eyes that got you. A lot of astrologers say that Scorpios can't be trusted. I have mixed emotions about that because most astrologers also say that Scorpios make great civil servants, i.e. police officers, firemen, etc. Hopefully your dog will fall into the latter category and make it his duty to serve and protect. But keep an eye on him anyway, just in case. Scorpio is also a water sign but unlike the crab, the Scorpion can, and will, carry a grudge. If you ever hurt his feelings, be prepared for the daggers that shoot out of those eyes! That will be his way of 'stinging' you.

Scorpio girls are very vivacious! I'm sure your's is a head turner. Has she shot daggers from those eyes at you for not letting her have her way yet?


SAGITTARIUS

(November 23 - December 21) If the boxer is the class clown of the dog world, you have the class clown's class clown. Sagittarians are very honest, uh blunt, at times. They are the life of the party because they look so good with their feet in their mouths. They don't mean to hurt anyone, they just say what's on their minds. Even when they realize they've hurt someone, they tend to rub salt in the wound during the apology. Once again, without realizing they're doing it.

For your dog this may mean, when he sees you're hurt or upset, he'll step on you, accidentally, and hurt you some more on the way to 'kissing it better'. Or give you a black eye with his big ol' hard head while he's trying to greet you on arriving home. Winston Churchill was a Sag.

Sagittarians like to live dangerously. Not necessarily because they are brave or have courage, but because they truly believe they can survive anything. They take nothing seriously and must mature and refine themselves before they can be expected to handle a lot of responsibility.
He will always be surrounded by friends, once they realize he has a huge heart and the best intentions.


CAPRICORN

(December 22 - January 20) The 'father' of the zodiac. They like to be in charge. They don't necessarily have to lead the parade. They actually give PERMISSION for the parade to take place! They are very loyal to those who help them achieve their goals. Capricorn is an earth sign, has he ever had a digging problem?


AQUARIUS

(January 21 - February 19) Aquarius is an air sign. They tend to be carefree but logical and intuitive. They can also be occasionally air-headed. They love contact with others but are fierce protectors of their own freedom and individuality. Does your dog do the 48 inch vertical leap?

They like variety. Don't let them get bored, not so much because they will get into trouble but they will be very unhappy if not constantly stimulated..


PISCES

(February 19 - March 20) Pisces is another water sign. If a Pisces dog were human, it would pick up every stray in the neighborhood, bring them home, and give up its spot on the sofa so they could be comfortable. Pisces sometimes lose themselves in their struggle to make sure everyone else is taken care of. This one appreciates the arts but doesn't necessarily make a good artist. Perhaps your dog would prefer to watch YOU dance? They are not said to be very hard workers but will work at whatever pleases them.

I thank you and the board thanks you! The last few times I have gone in to look at the thread I started I thought to myself, "What a mess! Nobody is going to want to wade through all of this to find what they're looking for!"

I thought several times about straightening it up by starting a new thread but, because I am a Cancer, I kept putting it off secretly hoping someone else would take care of it for me! Procrastination is a Cancer trait but it is one that I am working on fixing, really.

I really DO appreciate all the work you put into it. I honestly wasn't sure that I had even done all 12 signs and I just couldn't find the time or energy to make sure I had. You even put them in zodiac order! You're fantastic!!! Thanks again.

Thanks Dan! It has made me wonder if we were told Juniors correct birthdate because Oct 15 would make him a Libra but he is a Scorpio (based on your description) 100%- especially those eyes! Better dig out his papers!
