Play Time!

We took Chloe to a friend's house last night to let her play with their two labs. I was a little worried at first as they are both full grown and Chloe had never played with other dogs off leash before. As soon as we got there my worries went away. Chloe loved it! She ran all night. We could have stayed all night and I think she would have run herself to death. Chloe kept running up the labs and then would start to run away trying to get them to chase her.

She loved being chased! The labs even shared their toys with her and they played fetch together. It was a great time for the dogs. Chloe was sooooo tired after the play session though. As soon as we got back in the car to come home, she fell asleep. She slept the whole way home, slept when we got home, slept all through the night without a peep and then went back to sleep after her potty break while we were getting ready for work this morning. Poor thing. It was worth it though. I think we are going to try to get together weekly now. There are pictures of them all playing in Chloe's gallery if you click on her name below. Enjoy!

Chloe is just adorable. And it looks like she was having a ball playing with her new friends.

I know what you mean about them loving to play with other dogs and getting so tired. Gunner played the other day and was so tired he wouldn't sleep. I've had the same experience with my kids when they were little -- too tired to rest. Cranky at times because they need to lay down and sleep.

Gunner was bad that night after a few hours of running around with other playmates. He barked and whined and panted and wanted to play more. We fed him, let him outside to go potty, played with him for a few minutes, and then put him in his crate - within 30 seconds he was out like a light. - Through the night and half the next day.

Oh my!

Continue to socialize your boxer with other dogs as much as possible. Its good for everybody!

Chloe is so cute! Love the pics!
My parents have a 10 yr old black lab and Loke is the only one he'll play with! She runs into him full speed and he doesn't mind.
