COMPLETE AND TOTAL SUCCESS!!!!
As I said before in one of my posts, I go to my aunt's house every Sunday. Well, today was no different. Not wanting to leave my sweet angel

home, I brought him with me. My aunt has an 8 month old golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix named Nala. Nala is a VERY HYPER dog so I was a bit concerned about her reaction to such a tiny little pup.
Well, when we got to her house Nala was already out in the backyard. I waited for my aunt to go outside with me just so she could help to control Nala. When we got out there Nala spotted Riley in my arms almost instantly. She began to jump to try to smell him. Finally, my aunt grabbed Nala's collar and held her long enough for me to put Riley down to her level. They sniffed nose to nose for a few and finally I put Riley down on the ground. My aunt still had a firm grip on Nala's collar, but Nala was dying to get away. After a few minutes, I told my aunt to let her go because she was showing no signs of being aggressive or showing any kind of threatening behavior.
So that's when the fun began. Nala was going nuts and running in circles around Riley. He was probably getting dizzy as he tried to watch where Nala was going. Then finally Riley began to play back. Bouncing with his front paws while he barked and growled. They chased each other outside and in the house. It was very funny to see how they reacted to each other. At one point Riley stood up on his hind legs and grabbed Nala's neck with his front paws as if he were trying to give her a hug. It was so sweet!!!
So all in all, it was a very good visit and the got along amazingly well!! Next Sunday I'll probably bring my camera to get some pictures of them playing. Sorry for making such a long post, but I'm very excited that his first official playdate was a success!!!
