Smile Camera Shy Puppy

Just wondering if anyone else has a camera shy pup? I am trying to chronologically record Maggie's life in pictures, but she won't have anything to do with it. I've had her now for almost 3 weeks and have take a roll of film weekly. Just last night, as I was taking pictures of her, she decided enuff was enuff, and began to bark and growl like she was some kind of possessed pup. Of course, I took the shots anyway, making sure not to have the flash directly in her eyes. This evening, I wanted to finish up the roll, and as soon as I picked up the camera to get ready for the picture taking, Maggie began her barking and carrying on. She wanted to do anything but have her picture taken. And forget about getting her to "pose" for the pictures. Her pig's ear and chew rope was more interesting than getting her picture taken. I think the next time I'm ready to take more photos, I'll try the "sneak attack." "Say cheese "

Well Ozzy is not camera shy, but you know males, he loves his picture taken. I just tell Ozzy to sit stay and then I take them. She will probably grow out of it, Good Luck ! I usuaslly catch Ozzy when he's not looking too! You can check out his pictures in members gallery.

Sounds like your pup would rather play than be a model.

Perhaps if you tried taking photos after play sessions, when the pup is tired and "played out." Perhaps then she'd be a little less vocal and a bit more cooperative.

Posing? Well. Good luck!!

As far as being camera shy...no, but being camera curious...most definately! If I try and take a picture they both come right up to the camera and stick their nose right on the lens If I back away, they come closer! I can't get a good shot unless I sneek up, but that's nearly impossible because they can hear me winding the camera a mile away

Maybe it's because we live in L.A. but Lou seems to pose everytime I'm about to take a picture. I'll call his name and he'll do a freeze and look directly into the camera. What a HAM!

Cayenne will bark at the camera after a while. Normally she will not sit still long enough to get a good picture. Thank goodness for digital cameras. Also, she likes to come and lick the lense and me more than have her picture taken.
