Talking kidney beaning for the first time!

You are never going to believe this!!!! Cooper will be a year old next month and he just started kidney beaning yesterday!!!! I was so taken back it took me a minute to figure out what he was doing He or Tyson have never been beaners, but my first boxer was.
I was so excited I started jumping up and down and he just did it even more. Tyson thinks we are both nuts!!!!

I thought beaning was just part of their genes!! That's great to hear that Cooper has started! Maybe now Tyson will catch on too. I love when I come home from work and my babies come running down the hall sideways because they are beaning so hard they can't walk straight

Congratulations!

It is very exciting every time they bean ... but somehow the first is the most special!

Hi Caroline,

The kidney bean dance, also called U-Dance (the boxer does a U with the head and the tail almost together), is the dance boxers do when they are very happy

Good for you. It makes you feel special.

Magnum kidney beans so hard he can't walk straight either. It's like he gets stuck in that position while walking - we call it the "crab walk." He also trots down the hall with his butt moving from side to side.

Omar didn't kidney bean or wiggle his butt when he first came to live with us, but he's gradually started to do it. I can tell he's happy living with us.

I've always thought so, but my husband commented the other night on how awesome it is to be greated by them when we come home. They are always thrilled to see any of us whether we've been gone 5 minutes, 5 hours or 5 days (like over Thanksgiving). Granted, the longer we've been away, the more excited they are when we return, but even if it's only been 5 minutes, they give you the best welcome ever.

Yea, for Cooper

I'm glad he finally did it. I remember you saying before that he had never done it.

Yeah for Cooper

It took Creed until he was about 2 months old before he would bean, I didn't know if he was ever going to. But when they finally do, it feels soooooo good!
