Hi Everybody, I had quite a few responses to Chelsea's yard art. Here is some info. about them. They are made of 1/4" plywood, they are primed, basecoated, and "detailed" painted, Front and Back, wiggle butt tail and all! (mostly from owners photos) they are full size, depending on the size or breed of dog. Then they are sealed with a polyurethane for outside use. Many people like to put them in their front yard, like I do of Chelsea, in flower beds, porch, or inside near a fireplace or foyer entrance. I do all breeds and animals. I am very particular about details, special markings e.g, cropped or nat. ears, the exact white markings on chest or face, the mask, expression in eyes. I have some of my work at vets and groomers in my area, They are just copied from the pet supply magazines. I have Chelsea done for every holiday, except Easter, I will do her I think, popping her head out of a broken, decorated Easter egg or basket. I can do them standing, laying, or just sitting in the grass. They all have a loop attached to the back for a stick to push in ground to keep them upright. I also do portraits on canvas, or the dogs picture painted on clay terra cotta pots. they are also primed and sealed for outside use. they usually have a landscape background and the saucer of pot has her paws lapping over the front. I have been selling the full boxer size for $50, e.g a dachund or Bichon would cost $25. But for any of my boxer members on the board I will sell for $35, plus shipping and handling. I just found out my husband's nephew is coming in from out of town this week and his business is doing websites. He will be doing one of all the work I have done (I take pictures of everything I make) this way you can see some of the teeny weeny photos I had to go by to do a life size cutout for some of my customers. for some reason, I manage to always capture the likeness. Somebody above must guide me. Chelsea has been my inspiration, that's how I got started, she is part of everything we do, even holiday decorations, she is out there eith Santa, snowmen and reindeers and of course the pumpkin now. I even have my business card named after her "Chel-C-Craft" I will let you know when the new webpage goes up, in the meantime I have the one with just 2 of my samples on the site that Chris has done for me. http://community.webtv.net/fourkidsa.../BOXERBRAGPAGE

Tish-----I am so glad you posted this. When I looked at Chris' web site, your address wasn't put in yet. I'd love one, too. They are beautiful. I'll be looking for your new web site!! Thanks again.

Cool

Hi Tish,

How long does it take you to do something like the pumpkin and to ship it?

Olly, The pumpkin, took me about 3-4 hrs. First I had to transfer my design from large piece of paper to the wood, then I cut the wood, sprayed paint the orange part, but hand brushed the details of Chelsea, stem ,leaves and pumpkin eyes, I kinda rushed it, and wasn't too particular as I am with customers, which would take me a couple hrs. longer.
