I run flyball with my boxer/mix female and it is a blast. Or you could try Treiball (basically pushing a huge ball around like herding sheep). Obviously herding dogs do well with it, but any dog can play. If you can transfer the love of the ball to a love of a frisbee, there are disc dog clubs and competitions.

Treiball is becoming more popular here in the states - it's a sport where the dog herds large balls by using its nose and/or shoulders:
I did a workshop with my girl, and she liked it quite a bit. Unfortunately, she got into the habit of using her teeth against the ball, and I did not bother to correct that early on... Now she's a ball-buster! hahaha

the Trieball looks like fun....mine likes to use the paws to move the ball around (kinda like doggie soccer so not sure if that would disqualify them in trieball, but it is worth a try .
Paw-pushing is a disqualification in Treibball, but it's actually not that difficult to teach them to push with their nose... especially if you already have a "touch" command in place.
