I'm fine with all the laughter. Glad to pass it on! I had to laugh myself once I settled down. Knee is still a bit swollen but it is what it is.

I can imagine your sheer panic

It is easy to look back and laugh now since everyone is okay. I can just picture it and it sounds hilarious. However, in the heat of things I cannot even begin to imagine your panic. I am glad it all ended happily.

I have a caribener story. I had a rescue on a long lead with a caribener at the end. It was the middle of a long winter and the poor boy never had a chance to stretch his legs. I let him go into a full run with the rope running thru my hand. He looked so happy that I was distracted from watching the leash which came to an end thru my hand. The caribener degloved my ring finger. For those who do not know what this means I peeled the skin off my finger. I also ruptured my ACL that year too while I was horsebackriding.

Oh My!! Sounds terribly painful and I'm sure you were in a panic as well. Hope all is now well with your finger and your knee!

All is well

In retrospect there were two funny moments.

1. When I came running in the door holding my ring finger yelling for my husband that I have to go to the hospital. He came to the door and saw the nick on my pinky finger and said "You don't have to go to the hospital for that." So I released my ring finger from my grasp and showed it too him and he turned three shades of white and said "I will go put the dogs away. Keep pressure on that."

2. The second moment was when they asked him if he wanted to step out of the room while they stitched me. He said not a problem. I get stitches yearly. Then he almost passed out.

The most painful part of it was the digital block. I have had to have my hand worked on since then and refused the block.
