Meet Samoa!

Well it has been a long time since I have been on here. Life has been hectic to put it midly! Cindel is doing fantastic in our new home with tons of land to run on. I sufffered a loss in Dec when I miscarried..but my heart healed when we got Samoa our new puppy. She comes from the same mom as Cindel and the same father. She is soo different than Cindel is. She is much more calm, although Cindel has calmed down a great deal since we brought her home. Cindel plays mommy a lot. Makes sure Samoa is not getting into anything she is not supposed to. Our only complaint is Samoa is taking a long time to house break..she has days where everything is great and then we have huge set backs. She still has accidents at night...as she will not whine at all if she needs to go out of her crate. We wake up cause we can feel her staring at us..and by then she has already pee'd! Our life is filled with sooo much more laughter and fun now that we have two. We spend our evenings watching them run and box. If only Samoa would stop biting Cindel and leaving marks on her..I think Cindel is afraid to bite back cause she is afraid we will yell..!

Samoa is adorable! I'm glad she was able to bring laughter and happiness back to you after your loss.

If it is any consolation, Johann took forever to house train....but is now the most rock solid housebroken dog I know. Stick with it, maybe crate her at night to prevent accidents? Or pick up water at 9 pm or so.

Thanks! She is in the crate over night. She doesnt get any water after 8 at night. Hubby wakes up at 2 to take her out..then again at 5....but some how in between those 3 hours she has an accident. Its funny, cindel kind of looks at her as if to say WTF are you doing? It's not hard..lol...

Samoa is beautiful. I lover her name. I am glad she is able to offer you some comfort after your loss.

My 10 month old girl took a while to housebreak too...just lots of patience. We now have an 11 wk old male too. I thought it would be easier with him because he would see Tonka going out and pick up on it rather quickly. Not so much. He did pick up bell training pretty quick but he is not consistent with it. Like Samoa, he has good days and bad days. Seems like I got one housebroken and started all over again.

Samoa is so pretty! Good luck with the potty training - I hate that part! You're brave having two puppies!
