Wink George's First Two Days at Home

We picked up our little guy on Tuesday night and he was the 4th of 6 to leave his mom, she was a little protective of him being taken but she quickly went to the remaining two pups who were staying with her.

George did great on the ride home. Just layer in my GF lap and watched the scenery. Once we got home we let him explore the areas of the apartment he is allowed in, had a bite to eat and then a little snooze on my lap. After a short nap we went for a walk and a potty (no accidents for the first day). When we got back we tried to acclimate him to his kennel. Surprise surprise he did not like it. After 10 min of cryi g he calmed down for 5 min and we brought him back out for playtime and a wall before bed. When we put him in there for bed time he we t absolutely nuts. Barking, crying, yelping ect. Just thinking about it makes me feel like I a, going to barf. He did this for about an hour. We held strong and he ecentually tired out and went to bed. I woke him at 3 for a potty break. After he went I didn't have the heart to put hi, back in the crate so I put a blanket on the floor and slept with him. Is there anything better than sleeping with a snoring boxer puppy?

The next day went well. I had to work at noon and had a buddy come play with him and walk him at 2 and 4 until my GF got home at 530. Them we had a family play day. A couple walks with his leash (which he is acclimating to pretty fast) and lots of play time. We were both dreadding bed time. However he followed me to the bedroom where his crate is and with a
Little coercion went right in. I closed the door and he barked once and batted the door a couple timed then went right to bed with no fuss. 2 potty breaks during the night and again right back in, my GF almost cried we were so proud of him.

I am off all day today so there is a tough schedule of puppy play time ahead of us. He is snoring away on my lap (my GF did not know she was getting another snorer in the house) and I decided to CDC, out BW.

Could not be happier with put decision.

Good for you!! My pup made it about 30 minutes in the crate the first night and then he's been in the bed every night with us since He does the crate during the day with no problems.

Make sure you take lots of pics, he will grow so fast!!

Congratulations on your puppy! This is our first boxer and since he was adopted as an adult we just let him sleep with us lol He takes turns sleeping in everyone's bed and the couch occasionally.
