The local news had 'new uses" for peanut butter.
I was watching the local news and they were giving new uses for pb. One was getting gum out of hair, which I had heard as a child. But another one was to use it to clean your leather furniture. They just said to put it on a cloth and buff. Can you imagine cleaning your couch with pb? Instantly all I could picture was my dogs licking and slobbering all over the pb scented couch! That is if they didn't try to eat it! That is one household tip I will pass on!

I can't even imagine.....
Johann already licks the lemon scented cleaner off our leather couch and chair. We joke that his drool conditions it.

I can just see some non-suspecting person doing this and then having their furniture destroyed. Of course then they would hire an attorney and file suit against the news station. Stranger things have happened!

Thats one way to get a new couch! Hmmm, I could use a new, non-muddy, un-stained one!

 what a stupid idea
I can imagine coming home to an all slubbery, sticky sofa, both dogs exhausted of licking all day

That is too funny!!!! We already have trouble with our husky deciding our couch has too much stuffing! I couldn't imagine the mess we'd have with the "delicate" scent of PB on it! Clearly that is a cleaning "tip" for those without pets!

Funny story. Are you sure that one of the dogs didnt send an email to the local news to see if you would fall for it?
