NO! I shared nearly 7 wonderful, crazy, uplifting, beautiful, educational, spiritual and incredibly happy years with Cami! Loss is sad and painful but what happens during the journey is fascinating....for all of us with our own pets.

Dear Raine,
Thanks sooooo much for sharing your secrets! You are my idol!
I love to do naughty things too! I love to chase the broom when my human tries to clean up. I do the same thing with the mop when I am at daycare. I am just helping clean up! The daycare human and my human pretend they're mad, but I know they secretly think it is pretty funny.
My other favourite naughty thing is stopping for naps when I am taking my human for a walk. I just flop down somewhere and give her "the look" so that she knows I could not possibly walk another step until I take a long nap. My human secretly thinks this is pretty funny too.
Kisses,
Malcolm

I know all about that. I try to eat the broom and the mop every chance I get. My mom tells me I am getting a "time out" when she has to clean. She doesn't even give me the chance any longer to play with those items. She blocks my access with a stupid baby gate.
Don't even get me started on lawn equipment. I like everything that makes noise or moves. I attack the lawn mower, leaf blower, snow blower, shovel, weed whacker, edger and even the rake. Mom and dad get pretty upset with my preferred style of play. I usually have to have my leash on me and then one or the other keeps a tight hold of it so I don't "hurt myself". I have no intention of hurting myself but rather I really want to kill those things they use. Mom says she can't get anything done with me around. I beg to differ. There is always something to DO. Just today I thought it would be a good idea to make the chipmunks hole bigger so I could follow him underground. I only got the hole big enough to put my head in until mom found me. She covered up the hole with dirt and then some straw. She even put a flat board over that and to go a little "overkill" she pushed the grill on top of that. No biggie. I just grabbed the board and drug it from under the grill. After that was out of my way I even moved the grill. I don't know why they bother to stop me. I always have a Plan B.

I LOVE lawn equipment too. I usually have to go sit inside when the dangerous ones come out (thats what they call it, just looks like fun to me). My mom put up a snow fence in part of the yard to grow new grass. She said that it would keep me out so the grass could grow. Yeah right. I figured out that you just have to lay on this fence and flop over. Mom said I was in big trouble. I don't know why all I wanted to do was a burn in that area.

I defended my princess today again, on our morning walk. Some kind of black lab looking one was coming down the stairs, our way. Like I said before, you never know. I don't trust anyone. I must have worked for the CIA before. Everyone could be spies, or serial killers.
My mission: get them before they get me, my mom, or my brother.
He didn't have the time to even think about.
I made like the biggest noise ever and lunged on my two back feet. I swear, him and his owner got shit scared!
yeah, you're right, go the other way!!!!
DONE.
Mom said she will be getting the gentle leader out again. blahblahblah. She is totally forgetting who she's talking to. I love her so much, and no gentle leader will stop me and my mission.
I need to find that piece of stupid nylon before she does anyway, so that's my plan...
By the way Raine, you should be our Queen. I could be your King.. or I could be your own personal secretary of defense. I take my job very seriously.
I laughed.. a BBQ on tope of a board on top of a whole? Humans don't know any better... Lame.. they don't understand...

Raine, lawn equipment sounds SUPER fun. The next time the lawn guys come by, I will have to stay and help them. Usually I just give them many kisses and pee on their work boots - boy, have I been missing out!
I have made a new discovery this week, now that the weather here in Canada is warmer: HUMANS ON WHEELS. When I take my human for a walk, there are many very sinister characters going past on a variety of wheeled contraptions - bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, and even wheelchairs! This is highly unnatural. Humans should not ROLL. So, I try to chase them down and investigate, which makes my human upset. She just does not appreciate my defending her against the nefarious rolling humans.

Kona here...thank you Raine! I am trying the things on your list while it's overlooked as "puppy behavior". Little does my mommy and daddy know, but I'm just practicing.
I've got the "in and out" game down. I pretend squat though, or my mommy says some rather rude things. I'm starting the "bark at the wind" game too. I like the sound of my own voice. Although I scare my big brother sometimes. But he'll help me out when I need to get mom to play. We're also working out the issue of furniture ownership. And what does "get out of the kitchen" mean?
My mommy says that she knows I have a brain inside my head, even through the teenager months. Of course I do, but I'm not going to let anyone else know that!!!!

Mali here. Brooms are OK, but the vacuum cleaner is so much better. Mom makes it go back and forth and it is so much fun to chase. Go forward, then back up, repeat! It makes noise, so I make noise.
Oscar here. I used to do the chase the vacuum game, but now I just follow Mom around and get in the way until she gets out the attachment. Then she vacuums me! Feels SO good!

WOW!!!! EXCUSE ME???
Snatch here: Oxford, how dare you call me goodie two shoes behing my back??? I swear, you're so .. urrrghhhhh
Let me tell you, I'm almost 8 years old. I've done worse than "Oxford-the-rebelious". My two favorites things were paper and plants.
I had so much fun turning the beige carpet green by drooling fresh chewed up plants on it when I was young... Mom say that's the reason we don't have any indoor plants anymore.. I don't care, I still steal some basil now and then from the balcony.. hehehe
Papers.. hmmmm I still try to ask for some paper when the mail comes in. I used to empty the shelves of books and all.. just eating papers..
Those were the crazy years..
But hey, Oxford.. You think you're so badass, huh? Well, who is getting the gentle leader now? huh? hahahahaha I think I am the smart one, because I pretend to act all good and I keep the freedom of running freely
suckkkkkkker!!!!

Taz here.
Oooo such good ideas. I had my human believing I was the best behaved, smartest puppy ever and then last night I decided to have some fun. I love my training sessions, but who does she think she is constantly making me do stuff. Down? What does down mean? Oh that thing I've been doing for the past 2 weeks...I don't know what your talking about Yeah I don't care about that treat. I know you'll give me dinner later. Training session over? Yahoo, I win!
Then we played. Oh you want me to down..Okay! Of course I know how to down and stay. More training? Down...nope sorry I don't know what that means. I had her so confused and frustrated, it was hilarious!
Oh wow and her shorts moved and flaped around just like my toys I like to chase. You really want to to have some fun with your human, jump and try to grab a hold of their shorts while they're walking.
Oh and i also like tearing up any paper I can can find. Paper is awesome! My owner seems to think these book things are important, but they are great chew toys.
After last night my owner told me my name was starting to fit...what the heck does that mean? I'm her little devil? Okay, whatever..
I'll have to try some of these other ideas while my cute puppiness make me easy to forgive

Hi Raine, it's Bella. I am the master of #1 on your list. Want to know what else is fun? When your human calls you, just look off into the distance like there is something interesting going on. When they start to walk to you, as soon as they get about 2 feet from you, take of running like someone lit a firecracker. The words that come out of their mouth can't be repeated here but I get a good laugh out of it!

Hi Raine, it's Diva. You go girl! I still remember my youth well - 'she who thinks she is in charge' was always telling me that I wouldn't end up getting old as I would kill myself with all my antics before then - just goes to show what 'she' knows I have mellowed over the years, but even now I can still pull the surprises - my favourtie still is when we are going for a walk and 'she' relaxes just a little and then BOOM - I pull so hard on the lead to try and chase a cat that 'she' utters something completely unintelligle that I almost, but not quite, feel bad I mean really, what is so bad about wanting to chase cats? These humans really have no idea of what fun is
