I really miss having my girl to cuddle into. Since her ACL surgeries she's can't get in the bed. Gives me lots of more space but I loved her cuddles.

I wouldn't worry about dominance. I think it's just being a boxer.

I laughed when I read the title of this post- I think all boxers would sleep on top of their people, given the chance. Baxter is also a "lap dog", although mostly with me rather than my boyfriend (I am his primary caregiver

). Even in the car, if I'm the passenger (well, he tries when I'm driving too) he tries to climb in my lap. At night, he starts out by my feet, and ends up by my face, spread out with me cramped up in the corner.

When he hugs us, he puts his paws up over our shoulders and at first I was afraid that he was trying to be dominant- but he's just a lovie boxer baby!

Every Boxer I've ever met has been a cuddler. My girl has to be touching me at all times no matter where we are. This week we went to bed with her big head on my face. I didn't mind, but I never realized how big her head is until her eye socket was digging in my cheek!!!

I'd rather have a Boxer in my bed than a man any day!

Stella is my 60 lb lap dog! It's crazy! Any opportunity for her to sit on someone, she will find it! Even if you go and kneel down to do something, she will come and sit on you! Another wonderful trait of boxers

LOL!! Hank sleeps on top of me while my hairless cat Osiris sleeps curled up on my arm under the blankets. I get so hot i have to start throwing blankets off since both of them produce so much heat!

I love it! I'm never lonely at night

I'm with ya there sista'! 3 years ago, I gave up men and got two dogs. Was the best decision I ever made for my love life! I now am the crazy dog lady, but hey, I'm happier than I ever been with any man!

My dogs sleep with me, and they always end up pushing me off the edge. Between their heat and my night sweats........I never have the heat on in my room AND the window stays open all winter. If it gets chilly, I just pull the dogs a little closer.

I wouldn't have it any other way!

It is so fun to hear that everyone's boxers are so snuggly. (Also funny how many boxers named Stella are out there.) Anyway, Stella is about 5 months old and loves to sleep on my lap. I keep thinking she will grow out of it, but from all the posts I don't think she will and I'm perfectly happy with it!

Kevin doesn't get on top of me so much as he tries to get *under* me. On the bed, he'll stand by me, lay down so that he's basically pushing against me, and then the next thing I know I'm waking up practically falling off the bed, and this little boxer baby has the bed all to himself.

What I've noticed lately is that he'll also try to burrow into me, if I'm sitting on the ground cross legged. He'll go for the face licks at first, but then he'll burrow face first into my lap, kinda flip over, and then end up curled up in my lap. It's pretty cute.

And of course, Kevin is an excellent neck tickler. After I get home and take him on a walk, we'll come back in the house, and he gets all excited and I go lay down face first and he jumps on me, licks at my neck and pulls my hair.
