Mine are that way, too. They play fine with other dogs, but once they find another boxer in the park it's all together a different game. Most people that don't know Kilbane at first don't realize his vocals are just play and not aggressive. We've been kicked out of a park by the Ranger that only heard him. Though all the people said it was just play, he didn't care. Just to show he wasn't a "bad" dog I didn't put him on his leash when we went back to the Jeep.
Guess they/we need to just stick together. Educate in a pack.

We need some "boxer only" dog parks!

Amen to that! I would love it if there was a place nearby for just boxers. That would be awesome! Great idea mesquite!

I have to say that it depends on the other boxer.
Billy gets on great with a couple of boxers near us here, but there is another boxer that he doesn't get on with at all!!

I haven't found any other boxers for Hurricane to meet, so we haven't had the joy, but I would love it! I am sure he would too.... the only other dog he sees on a regular basis is a border collie and although they ADORE each other, they really don't play well together. She is super high strung (can you believe there is a dog more high strung than a boxer??) and her idea of play is keep away and herding type stuff, while Hurricane's is of course to box and wrestle. They pretty much just end up running in circles as she tries to herd him and keep away from his boxing and he tries to catch up and box! I just found out about a girl where I work that has a boxer, though, so I am hoping we can set up a play date.....

I recently had a family emergency and the guy I got Coco from was wonderful enough to keep her for me while I had to be gone. He has 4 boxers so I think she was in Boxer heaven playing with her Doggy Momma and Daddy and brother and sister. She was so tired when I picked her up that night. She came home that night and past out in the bed. I don't think she moved until six the next morning. LOL! He said the only moment of tension was when Coco jumped up on the couch to sit beside him and Momma dog did not like that at all. That is her spot! LOL!

Thats cause collies like alot of herding dogs like their personal space. A few in our agility club can't stand another dog within a couple of feet of them. Which is a major bummer for Ben as he just loves close quarter play at least their are a couple of other breeds there that love it just as much as him. A 2 yr old Female Boxer was there a couple of times and you would have sworn she was his mother the way they reacted to one another.

Not sure what you have for wheelin' Down Under, around here I only take the pups on the Fire roads with mud and water. If I'm on the rocks, which I prefer, then the pups stay home. I don't want to chance injuring them should I roll the Jeep.
