Forgot one thing, Madison is the only dog I know that gets annoyed. if you play with her and don't let her win, or stop playing when she wants to continue. She just can't take it, and goes off somewhere to bother someone else, or pout.

The funniest thing that Duquessa does is chase her tail, around and around and around she goes!
If it was only a little bit longer............

All that!!
My Lexie has all those traits and more!! She thinks she is a human and quit put out when she has to act like a dog. She also paws at me to pet her, snorts when I rub her ears, and loves to chase the frisbee. She is my 5th boxer, 2nd female. I have raised 5 boxers with my 6 kids and they are like my kids! Best of friends.

bum wagging
I dont know if it has been said yet but my dog has a mean bum wag. Might be due to a lack of tail. He would be lethal with a tail connected to that wild butt!!

well I dont know if its a secret, The deadly Gas Attack,
but I had started to feed them all SOY Free foods. and it seemed to work.
if canned food is used, I usually try pedigree, whatever you do, DONT DONT DONT use mighty dog. even though when you cant get them to eat, that will do the job.
at nite, they get thier dry food, Lamb and rice formula
actually its Walmart brand, first ingrediant is LAMB, and
I go a little overboard with this, but I buy ckn livers.
they cost about 1.15 or so a pint. add some water to it in a bowl and nuke for 20 minutes. when done, I either put in a blender or just mash with a masher. pour over dry food and let cool a bit (not too hot or they will burn their little mouths) and presto. I have had no gas from them in months
and boy oh boy, I cant tell you what a relief that is.
since I have 4 to feed, this works great. if you have 1 the ckn livers would last a few days.
let me know how it works for you

Gas attack
Well, thanks for that. Actually, I feed Titus the Walmart 'Ol Roy lamb and rice dry food. I experienced extreme gas with my other baby, Jake, when we mixed canned and dry food. As soon as I stopped the canned stuff, the gas decreased, but didn't stop completely. I wish there was some sort of product for dogs, like there is Beano for people! Titus also gets a cooked egg a couple of times a week in his dry food, with a little bit of canola oil. I'll try the chicken livers. I can't imagine he wouldn't like those!

Champ really loves to play Hide and Seek. He also goes to bed with me and uses me as his own personal pillow. I just love to cuddle with him. The heavy head thing is so cute. He gives sad puppy dog eyes when we are not paying attention to him. Big guilt trip!

New to Boxer World/Boxer traits!
Hi Fellow Boxer lovers
I read all seven pages about the Boxer traits! It is so great to hear such positive stuff about our Boxer babies!
Clari has a couple of traits that I haven't read yet - wonder if anybody else's Boxer babies do these -
First, she loves to give "flea bites" - she uses the edge of her teeth to nibble me - when I'm goofing with the kids, she will kind of growl and nibble a little harder - when I laugh because it tickles, she nibbles a little harder - the harder I laugh, the harder she nibbles! I usually wind up on the floor cause my legs won't hold me after laughing that hard, but still with Clari nibbling away!
Also, we taught her to kiss on the lips! If I have a treat for her or have her toy, I tell her "kiss" and she will kind of dive bomb a kiss right onto my lips - it is the funniest thing!
She has pretty much all the other traits, including the kidney bean (what a great name for it - I too thought there might be something wrong with her the first time I saw that!), the wiggle butt, the guilt tripper expert, etc.!
She is my first Boxer - Oh what an incredible breed!
