My 2 Boxers have a really bad gas problem. Also they are so jealous of each other if one catches me petting the other it starts a doggie war. They are total opposites the male ( Nija ) is so calm and sweet and listens to anything, the female ( Nakita ) is sooo wild she is like kangeroo bouncing off the wall and she is really hard headed and stuburn.

I love how Chief gives me that look when it's time for his food or when he wants a drink of water he looks at me almost as if I am supposed to know exactly what he wants not only that but it seems as if he has a different look for water than he has for food. He also has all of the above traits. I really love him , he is my first boxer.

My Joe does the exact same thing.......he litterly attacks the vaccum and bites at the hose on the side. He barks and growels at it the entire time I am cleaning. I can not sweep while he is awake because he is on top of the broom the whole time with his front legs wrapped around it and biting it (the plastic cover that goes around the bristles at the top is now missing). He also goes after the dust wrag when I am trying to dust. It always ends up in his mouth! Needless to say I try to clean while he is napping or nothing would get done. Oh and don't try to fold laundry while he is up either......he just unfolds what I have just done and rolls around on top of it all. What a clown he is :O)

Kalama loves....

to hit and run when the vac is going. He'll rush in at it, bark and bite the rubber and then back off. Then he'll lay down, growl and do the entire attack sequence over and over until I turn it off. When I do turn it off he'll run up to me and then lick and lick and lick as if I was being attakced by the WindTunnel. I love my buddy, he's such a character and so well behaved whne we're not home!

Thanks for the kidney-beaning definition(I was curios myself). We always joke about Diamond having a spring in her middle. My baby is afraid of the vac, she cowards on the couch when it is running. She also lies on her back when she is playing with her baby(un-stuffed toy), but her favorite position is on her belly with her back legs out to both sides like a frog. Diamond hits you with her paws when she really wants something and she has a way of knowing when you get out of your seat no matter where she is in the house and within seconds is curled up in it.

Reeses has most of the traits mentioned, thankfully not the gas one. She loves to play with her favorite toy, a large empty Ocean Spray juice container (they last longer than the 2 liter coke bottles), she will pounce on it and send it flying across the room. She follows me everywhere I go, is a fifty pound spoiled lap dog, will wrap her front paws around your legs as you drag her along, loves to play in the sprinkler and when I let her off leash she literally runs circles around me. Also if I tell her to get off when she is trying to climb up in my lap she will grunt and snort as she gets down as if to do so reluctantly. She is definitely a character, much like my parents standard poodle, which likes to nibble on your ear and runs circles around herself when she greets you when you come home.

every morning...

i awake to winston greeting me with the wiggles, kisses and kidney beans as if i hadn't seen him in years. it seems he just can't get close enough...he wants to be INSIDE my face! what a doodle!
he's so sensitive too. once when potty training, i had just got done with his walk (it was raining) and he did not poo. as soon as we got back to the porch, he decided that that was a good place to go. frustrated, i scolded "no, no, no" and plopped him out into the rain to finish. afterwards, he felt soooo bad, that he would not acknowledge me. he would not look at me or even take a treat i offered. i now understand that he responds better to more sublte correction.
he will also sleep in ANY position. he could sleep standing on his head.
yeah, his running sprees through the tall weeds in the back is a riot! and i thought i had an original boxer! they're a one of a kind breed.
