Our trip to the pet store.
Well I just wanted to share our adventures for the last day.
Yesterday pretty and I headed to the pet store...Her favorite
place in the world! We walked in and she was showered with hugs and kisses and so much attention from everyone,.And she loved every bit of it.* and my chest all puffed out with all the comments of how well behaved she was *LOL*. We continued on our way to the *toys* Ilse And pretty picked out a new fluffy toy..We rounded the corner and met up with a rottweiler puppy 9 months old...They had made friends very quickly they were playing quietly while both of the Skin people chatted, anyways a lady came walking by with a dachound(fattest thing I've ever seen, poor dog) the owner wanted to see how all the dogs got along..*lOL* the daxi TRIED to take out both the rottie and pretty!!!!...The looks on these two dogs faces were priceless. They were both rather shocked!..Needless to say the lady apologize for her dogs actions..And scurried on her way...
LOL..We had quite the crowd around us watching the two bigger dogs...And I over heard some comments when the lady
came up with her small dog...they were expecting the bigger dogs to go after the small one...Well I guess they were all wrong....I just thought it a little unfair that just because pretty was the bigger of all the dogs that she was "automatically" aggressive!! I've encountered all of this before in the years I've had boxers mostly from either people being scared of there looks (?????) or there dogs being smaller or just not knowing the breed
what so ever... !!
Just needed to share and vent!
*pretty had a great time and scored some treats and toys* LOL

I own horses and I was at one of the horse shows and because I take Soda everywhere with me, she was there also. It was the lunch break and I thought I would take her for a walk. At this age Soda was wearing a halti (head harness) because she was a bit of a puller. Anyway this little terrier came flying out and attacked Soda. She ran backwards into my legs and then the owner of the terrier came out to find out what was happening. She then had the nerve to say to me after giving me and evil look "thank god your dog had a muzzle on". I had to tell her in a pissed off way that it was not a muzzle and that her dog was the one who attacked mine. She walked off, dog in arms mumbling.
This kind of thing really annoys me, why when someone sees a boxer, they automatically think it is aggressive? Soda would not hurt a fly!

My husband used to have a doxy when he lived with his parents years ago. That little dog was the most aggressive thing I've ever met. The neighbors had 2 dobermans and Sammy (the doxy) would go right up to the fence and bark and growl at those dobies like he was going to kill them. The silly little thing didn't even realize that in one gulp he'd be gone!!
I've noticed that its the little dogs that usually are the aggressor, not the bigger ones. Maybe because the bigger ones KNOW they would win if need be, so it's just not worth their effort.

Poor baby Pretty!
Cooper was attacked this summer by a friends choc. lab. Cooper got two small cuts to his legs and a pierced ear.
Ten minutes later he was wanting to try and play with it again!
I am not that big of a fan of brindles, but I must say, your Pretty sure lives up to her name!0 (no offfense anyone)

Same goes for pretty, I guess she wanted to know what this dogs problem was...And didn't really understand why it didn't want to play.LOL

I used to have a dachshund when I was a girl and he was great round people but boy did he hate other dogs. On our walks, if I saw another dog approaching, I would put him on his lead only to hear the other dogs (usually big ones), owners say "it's OK he won't bite" . Danny would fly at them and the vision of a big German shepherd etc tail between his legs running away from a tiny dachshund is one that will stay with me forever. Danny was crafty though, he would cry and pretend he was friendly until they got about a foot away then he would go... One exception was that he adored poodles... don't know why.

I get A LOT of that from people around here thinking Boxers are mean. When I was in Oregon people knew what they were, same thing in Montana, but here in Nevada everyone thinks they are PITS! Of course certain people I just let think they are mean...sidewalk is clear when they see me coming with 2 Boxers LOL
My mom has 2 doxies they love everyone, but aren't too sure about my smoosh faced dogs!
