Well, I kind of figured it would happen sooner or later. I just wasn't expecting it to be this morning, which was the sooner half of the equation. ABBY finally did it. She got her a cat. I didn't get on her about it much; no cursing or yelling at her for doing it. Just a few mild expletives were muttered under my breath. Burial services in the alley were held shortly after its death. R.I.P. cat.

We have a HUGE stray cat population and for some reason, they love our fenced in yard. Bayleigh almost had her first kitty last week.

RIP, alley cat

We also have a stray cat problem here where we live. It just irritates me that dogs have all these laws but cats can roam around where ever without any leashes or potty details. I had a cat spray the inside of my car once. I was a little upset, it smelled for weeks. I finally got the smell out with some enzymes. I don't hate cats but keep them in your yard. Jada hates cats for some reason.....? Thats the only thing she barks at... She is definitely a dog person like me....lol

We have feral cats running our neighborhood and one of them chooses our front flower pet as his litterbox, yes it is a male, I can tell by the lovely smell he leaves. I fully agree that cat owners should be cited for letting their cats run the nieghborhood and heavily fined if they are not neutered/spayed. And what makes matters worse is the the neighbors down the street leave their garage open, to feed their own cats and it is like a kitty buffet down there.

This made me think about my dad's cat that died last year. She used to chase Rocky when we'd go to their house, actually stalked and terrorized him. The big baby.

The cats causing the problems may be feral cats. My sister has two cats that were trapped as feral cats. She and several friends trapped and rehomed quite a number of feral Siamese kittens living near her boyfriend's workplace. They were hoping to trap the mama, a lovely bluepoint Siamese, get her spayed, and release her, but so far, no luck. She and a coworker recently trapped some kittens near a place where she was consulting and she now has new ginger kitten named Damon. I don't understand how feral cats can survive the winters here, but somehow they manage.
