Smile I Missed You Guys!!!

For some reason, for about a month, I couldn't get the site to load on my computer! I could only get the home page, but the forums just kept loading, and loading, but I couldn't access them!

I am so glad to be back!

Bella had her first birthday and we took her out for a special treat and an extra long walk in the woods!

I am happy to say that my little one year old has not been in her crate since October 1st, even when we go out for extended time!!! She has not made even one mess!!! I am so proud of her!

She has also now learned to wait until we get to the bell (door), even if it takes us ten or fifteen minutes if we are "tied up" and holds "it" til she gets outside!

She sleeps in bed with us every night, with Simon on his chair in our room Bella takes up the middle of the bed, lol!!!

It's like she turned one year old and then magically, poof! she gained a new level of understanding and self-control!

We adopted a calico kitten and named her Sophie after Gary went to the bridge in September and it is simply amazing how Bella and Sophie have bonded!!! (I put some pics on the "other pets" photo gallery of them).

I am just so happy to have access again and so happy with Bella's progress.

I think I am going to fold down her crate and put it in the basement because I just don't see the need for it!

The only one who goes in their crate at night now is Sophie, we bought one of those "cat playpen" crates for her, you know, with the shelves for them to jump around on, we put her in there at night until she is older, but Bella really is a big girl now!!!

I so want another Boxer puppy now that Bella is well on her way to being a Great Dog, but we are worried because Simon is 12 and well, you know how rambunctious Boxer puppies are. My husband thinks that a new puppy would be too rough on Simon at his advanced age (he is still very healthy, but we don't want him knocked around), but I think that Bella would occupy the new puppy more than Simon because she is still, of course, extremely playful. What do you guys think?

Anyway, I really missed the forum and I am so glad that whatever glitch I was experiencing has passed!!!

How is everyone else doing?

I have lots of reading and catching up to do!

Hope everyone is well! Bella sends a kidney bean!!!!

You know, I thought the SAME thing about Caney when she turned 1! Glad to hear that Bella's doing so well! Good job, mom!

Your new pictures are adorable!!! Sophie looks JUST like the calico cat I grew up with -- Cocoa

I was also having problems with the site the past few months... some days it was fine, others I couldn't get anything to work But it's good to have you back!
