We are in NY and it's getting down into the 40's at night here. Last night we took Bonnie to run on the beach and it was very cold more for us than her since she was running around chasing her ball. We're still going to take her on all her walks maybe only for 30 min's instead of the usual hour. If we get snow that may all change.

We go all winter They have coats, and boots when they need them. My girl actually loves the snow. I have to make her get in the car when it is time to go--just like a little skin kid

My dogs usually get at least three walks a day. It can get really cold here in Manitoba, but it doesn't stop us. On a bitterly cold day, the walk may be a little shorter. That is more a concern for the dogs than anything else. Moto has a gortex coat that he wears when it is windy or wet. He also has a fleece coat for when it is just cold. I can put the gortex coat on top if it is necessary.

I have a nice warm parka for myself too.

I started a heavy-duty walking routine this spring too. (I've lost 22 lbs and 2 pants sizes since!!) I get up an hour early (5:45) and meet with a friend and her dog at the high school football field that has a track around it. We walk and gab and the dogs run like crazed monkeys on the field. We do this for an hour every morning. We haven't missed a morning yet. It was only 17 degrees yesterday morning! We'll have to find a different area to walk once the track has too much snow on it. When I get home from work, we go for a 2 mile walk down our road. We've always walked in the winter. When it gets below zero, we will just have to cut our walks short. If we didn't walk, the boys would burst with pent up energy!

I will continue walking Harley all winter too. I just bought a coat for her. But we only walk up to 30 minutes right now. She is still underweight and doesnt have a lot of energy that I have to burn. Yet!
