Professional Counter Surfer
Mindy is quite the professional counter surfer. I know she does it, so I make sure things are not left out. This morning, at my parents' house, their dog had some roast beef and gravy for breakfast. She didn't eat it all so someone put it up on the counter and then we went outside leaving Mindy inside. Well, I hear something strange from outside and look in, there is Mindy with the clean container on the floor. What makes her a professional is somehow she got it off the counter without spilling a drop on the floor. I swear she had to have bitten the side of the container with her teeth and gently set it on the floor and then ate it. This is a habit I have to break, but I had a good laugh. It is really our fault for not pushing it back far enough!!

Roast beef and gravy for breakfast? Wow, how could Mindy pass up that opportunity?

My Maggie is a pro too! One day DH found her standing (all four paws) on top of the dining room table to get what she wanted.

Re: Professional Counter Surfer
We have not had any problems yet with this, but I am extra areful to make sure things are tightly secure, or just not left out. We have 3 cats that we know are up there when we're not home, so the boxers dont have a chance

Re: Professional Counter Surfer
Sounds just like Chief!!!! We have yet to figure out how some things mysteriously disappear from the counter tops; and how he manages to get up there! They sure are tricky babies, aren't they!!!!

Re: Professional Counter Surfer
If you figure out how to break them off this, let me know. Buster loooves pizza and everything else. DH was making one of those frozen pizzas one night and took it out of the box and put it on the pan waiting for the oven to heat up. When he went back in to put it in the oven all that was left was the crust. Everything has to be hidden. Even anything remotely smelling of food. Buster ate a pot holder one night. I couldn't find it anywhere and finally discovered it a couple days later in the back yard while I was on poop patrol. Crazy dog.

Re: Professional Counter Surfer
I have never heard of this before. I can not believe it . Thank goodness Daisy hasn't learned how to do this or I would really have my hands full.
