Can't Decide
Hi Everyone...
well here goes, I have a 4 month old wite boxer named elliot, he has been a dream, my husband and I just love him, however we have talked about getting him a playmate and because of the cost decided that we should wait till he is older.
well last night i unexpectadly got an email from a breeder that i had been in contact with a few months a go and she has a 5 month old female that she is looking for a home for, we have the time, and the money, but n ow we can't decide if the time is right....
what would you all do?
Carrie

Re: Can't Decide
If you honestly have the time and the money I would go for it It seems to me that when people wait for the "right" time, they always end up finding a reason that it's better to wait. Having two dogs around is the best and I personally would never have less than two ever again. If you understand that everything from cuddles to poop is doubled then you're set Good luck!

Re: Can't Decide
Double the trouble for sure but I think you sould do it because they are not to far apart in age and a big go because you have the time and the money. That in itself it the biggest obstacle. GOOD LUCK

Re: Can't Decide
I am really leaning towards saying yes, i just need to fully convince my husband, lol, she has all her shots, is microchipped already, and is already housetrained and crate trained, so that is a savings in money and time already.
I am waiting to hear back from the breeder to see some pictures before i really start working on my husband, lol, but our anniversary is less then a month away, if he knows he is off the hook he might be a little more lenient lol.
I was mostly worried that because Elliot is still so young that we might have problems, but he is catching on to the housetraining bit very quickly and knows several commands and hand signals already (my youngest brother(14) is hearing impaired and in a wheelchair so the hand signals make things so much easier for him.)
so as long as everyone here thinks that things should go ok because they are close in age and if the breeder sends me the information that i am looking for then i will start trying to convince my husband that this is a good thing.
Thanks Guys
Carrie

Re: Can't Decide
It is ALWAYS the right time for a new baby! You should get her, especially if you have the time, money, and love. I would do almost anything to have another!

Re: Can't Decide
I'd get her, it's not easy finding a reputable breeder and when is the perfect time? I got my white male when Ruby was 4 months old and it has been fine in respect to their ages

Re: Can't Decide
I think you should grab her as fast as you can! Roscoe is 6 months and we are getting him a sister that is around a year old (she is a rescue). We are so excited to pick her up in a few weeks after she is spayed. I can tell Roscoe is getting bored and will enjoy life so much more with someone to play with all the time.

Re: Can't Decide
I think we all know what you should do so the only question is when are you going to get her?
