Mud, mud, mud...why does he love the mud?

Supposed to get to 87 degrees in Milwaukee today and I had lots to do. So, first thing in the morning I thought I would take Mr. Indiana to the dog park and let him play, get a little energy worked out.

It's sunny, wonderful breeze, he's having a great time. Around we go, playing with the other dogs, talking to the other dog lovers. When what do I see at the same time that my mud-loving dog sees it...MUD!!! Not only did he race over as if there was a raw steak competition, but when he got there he actually immersed himself. That's right, laid right down in the lovely, wet, stinky mud. What a guy!!!!!

Now it was so nice, he had to go and wrestle with his 4 legged buddies. While I'm apologizing to their owners (who thankfully were laughing at all of this) he was sharing the stinkum until everyone was pretty much guaranteed a bath when they got home.

I'm sure that there is a gathering at the bridge, Rocky

and Rascal

are both there, shaking their heads and mumbling about how Indy just doesn't understand that boxers are supposed to walk AROUND mud!

Never towards it......sigh

Yes, the mud... Both of mine love it too!! They find whatever little bit they can, and lay down in it, burn through it, then proceed to BOX each other!!! Then, of course, they have to give mama LOTS of lovin's! aahhhh!!

gotta love 'em, though...

Yep...he gets lots of baths, I get lots of showers...how come I'm the only one with dry skin?

Oh yeah, Cyrus loves the mud too. When we go to the dog park, it's a given we both come home muddy! He likes to burn through, then lay down in it to cool off!

Oh....... gotta love the mud baths!!!!

Mine love them too!!!!! Our neighbors are digging out a pond in their back yard! Last week after it rained, Sam and Chief headed straight over there ! The DH was chasing them full speed! All of a sudden, their heads weren't visible anymore! DH got up to the piles of dirt spread around... and saw two little bodies down in the big ol' patch that was dug out! There they were rolling around and wrestling!!!! We couldn't even get mad at them because they were having the best time!!!!!!

But they did get a bath when they got home!

Maybe he loves the mud so much for those mud facials,to help with the wrinkles
