Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
I decided to start going for our morning walks now at 6AM, since it's been warmer out and Payton just can't take the heat. (even though I take a water bottle just for him to give him drinks and pour over his body as we walk)
Well- Yesterday I literally had to DRAG him out of bed, then this morning I swear he was pretending to sleep so I wouldn't wake him up. (I think he probably opened his eyes to make sure I had left the bedroom, then quickly shut them again as I turned around to shut the door!!!)
DH and I now have a running joke about "what are my chances of getting him out of bed this morning???" Hmmm Bed or Mom??? Can you believe the bed is winning?!?!!
Whats up with that??? I thought dogs jumped at the chance to go anywhere with their owners?!!?!!?
SO- I took Mitzi by herself- he didn't care, as long as he was warm and comfy in bed with DH.
Sometimes I think he's too smart for his own good.

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
I have!
Biff doesn't move from his crate in the mornings when I am getting ready for work - except maybe to open one eye and give me one of those looks as if to say, "MUST you make so much noise???? - I'm trying to get my beauty sleep!!!!"

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
Oh my, I wish I had a lazy boxer! Roscoe is up and raring to go at 630 every morning. He NEVER sleeps in. He will get up and burn around the house for about an hour and then go back to sleep, but by that time I am already awake.

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
Bella is semi-lazy. She pops off the bed as soon as I get up because she knows she is going out to potty. But as soon as we are back in, she goes right back to bed with my husband! That is until she hears her dish being filled!

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
Yes, mine are very lazy in the morning. Bacon will go outside then run back upstairs to sleep on OUR bed. I have to call for him like a litte kid getting ready for school. He just sticks his head under the pillow like he doesn't hear me. Sometimes I will get out of the shower and all three of mine are sleeping on my bed with that glazed looked in their eyes like "do you mind?".

WONDERFUL thread starter...
omg mine are so lazy, except for the times of day THEY DECIDE to go out and play... my gosh... mine would really prefer to just sleep sleep sleep... I take them for a walk and they are ok, but you better believe that's it after that, are you kidding I've used their storage of energy NOW...lol
glad I'm not the only one... should we be worried about this???

Indy's the same way. Some days I'm up and about the house 2-3 hours before he troubles himself to come down. Will go potty and back to bed for a bit. Silly, lazy dogs.

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
Mine are the extreme opposite. Falko is usually the first one up at around 6am, which then wakes up Annabelle. My husband and I have to decide the night before who's going to get up with them, and who gets to sleep in! Sometimes I wish they were lazy babies in the morning!

Re: Anyone else have a LAZY boxer???
Chief's not a morning boy either!!! He sleeps in when I get ready for work. Sam, on the other hand, is right at my feet every second (that's a lab for ya!) We have to walk our babies in the evening after I get out of work; and before DH goes into work.
