Exciting news
Well I got home not long ago after an interview for a job, that is not the good news well it is but I stopped at Walmart like I always do and I was leaving the parking lot and noticed two dogs on the side lawn where I feed and someone else feeds some dogs that you can't catch. Well these were not the ones we have been feeding so even though I knew this is a dumping ground and last time I did this my husband got mad at me. I stopped and went to see if they had collars or something. I actually had no idea what to do with them if they didn't but I think God was looking out for these two and led me to them. I got ahold of one of them and saw a collar with a name and number. I called and the woman was so happy as they had been missing since Tuesday morning and she lived about 1 mile away. She was very worried and said her husband was on his way already. Well I couldn't get the other one but I kept the one I had and figured that the other baby would stay around her friend and sister. She did after coaxing and dog food I keep in my car for such emergencies. Their dad came and they ran to him and he just looked so happy I thought he might cry. He offered me money and I think his wife wanted to pay me but I told them no I was just happy to see a good ending. I am so happy as I volunteer for a rescue group and usually dogs are being dumped. For a change this was a great ending two babies went back home to people who love them. They had been calling all the shelters and nothing. These two would not have made it across the busy road again it was pretty bad. Well enough babbling I just had to tell you all. Thanks for listeing.

Thank you!
While reading this I couldn't help but ask myself would I have checked on these dogs? I'm hoping if something like this comes my way that I will remember your kindness and do the right thing! This also shows again how important a collar with the proper information on it can be! Thanks for being such a caring person and saving these animals. Maybe it will encourage others to do like wise. Thanks for sharing!

Great job! If I see a dog wandering around without an owner insight I always do my best to catch the dog. If it was my dog you better believe I'd want someone to stop. You did a wonderful thing reuniting those babies with their family; maybe now that family will stop the next time they see a dog running loose and the chain can continue

A happy ending - yeah!
I'm so glad you were able to reunite those two with their family. They must have been thrilled to be back with their mommy and daddy. And how clever to have dog food in your car - I never would have thought of that. It must be your rescue work that has you so prepared

This is a real feel good story for a change. That couple must have been so happy to see their babies and the dogs must have been relieved. I have to tell you Fletcher broke his collar about a week ago and I put a spare on him and it doesn't have his tags on it. I keep thinking "I'll get to it, he doesn't ever go out without a leash on so its ok". Let me tell you I am going straight home before I do anything else and putting those tags on the new collar. Just in case God forbid he got loose I would hope someone like you would call me if they found my baby alone.

Great job!! I'm so glad it had a happy ending and they didn't have to go to a shelter...yea!! I picked up a beautiful puppy from the middle of the mountain parkway on Wednesday and even though I had to take him to the shelter (which I left sobbing my eyes out because they only keep them for 5 days) at least there he will have a chance! DH and I both keep dog "kits" in our cars for just such cases...Biljac liver treats, a few extra collars, a leash. Those liver treats have literally saved lives!!
