Does 2 dogs mean 2 crates???
If we get a 2nd Boxer, I'm wondering if we can get away with one big crate for them to share. Kronk doesn't really use the one we have much anymore, so it's not like I plan to lock them up together in it often or for long periods of time. He doesn't sleep in it at night anymore and we seldom put him in it when we leave the house. He mostly only goes in it for very short periods when visitors first come in because he goes crazy. When someone is at the door and I tell him to get in his crate, he'll go right in as long as it means I'll open the door to a visitor coming in! Even if he can't greet them face to face, greeting them from his crate is the next best thing. He's pretty good at not jumping on people, but still gets right in their face, slobbers all over them and seeks as much attention as they'll give him. My brother calls him crazy dog. "Hey! It's Crazy Dog!"
Anyways, the new dog might use it a lot more by him or herself in the beginning, but for the above purposes ... do they make crates that work fine for two big dogs?
Does anyone else use one crate for two dogs?
Thanks.
