Quick question about boxer sizes...

I've noticed that there are basically 2 types of Boxer structures. Tall and lean, and short and stocky. It's funny, Butch (15 mo) Is soooo tall, and he only weighs 54 lbs. (so far) and Bullet (14 wks) is already 21 lbs. but he seriously hasn't grown (heighth wise) at all, so far. By this time Butch was already getting tall and skinny. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone has noticed the 2 different types, or if you guys have either type.

I have the tall skinny type. At 8 months, Cornelius is somewhere around 23 inches but only weighs about 48 pounds. He is definitely too skinny by my account but if I feed him too much he gets loose poopy. Mmmm ... maybe that was too much information.

It's still a little too early to tell for sure, but I think Punchie is going to be tall and lean. She's all legs right now, and everytime my mother sees her, she makes some joke about us 'starving the poor thing'.

My rocky is definetly the tall skinny type. That boy has legs that go on for miles. And I can't get him to gain an ounce no matter how much I feed him. But ya, our neighbours boxer is double Rocky's age, half his height and the same weight lol.

I have one of each. Two different breeders.

Carson is my leggy deer-like boy..legs that go on and on. Lean and tall his is.

Echo is the stocky type. Shorter legs thicker chest, bigger head etc.

They are two weeks apart in age. Carson will be 23 mths on Sunday and Echo will be 21 wks on Monday.

Carsons parents were the leaner taller kind. Echo's were the thicker, stockier ones

I have the tall skinny type. Jackson has just been holding steady at 53 lbs. for the past few months....and boy, can he eat too! If only I could eat all I wanted and never gain a pound...

From what I can tell of my 2 and they are 14 weeks is that they will be the tall and skinny, they are all legs

When Max grows it is up not out. His legs go on forever. He also never seems to gain weight. He isn't skinny just tall and lanky.

Riley seems to be the opposite. She is more stocky than Max. She is getting taller but it is different than Max. She is gonna be our full figured girl.

Rocco is lean and all legs ! At 1 year, he is 27" tall and weighs about 67lbs last time we checked. Now that he is a year, I am hoping he fills out a little bit but I'm not sure if he's done growing height wise either.

Cleo is the lean tall boxer. I have a feeling Cairo is the opposite. It is funny because they have the same exact parents. I guess time will tell.
