The post about Christmas cards made me curious.
How involved are your boxers in your holiday celebrations?
Mine have their own Christmas stocking (that I made using fabric with boxers on it ). They get gifts from Santa.
We've taken Remy and Shannon to have their photos with Santa (which we display at Christmas). This year Bailey will visit Santa and get her photos.
Last year my kids were almost more excited to see what the dogs got from Santa than what he brought for them!

My biggest concern about Christmas is making sure the Boxers don't eat my ornaments off my tree, or in last years case, Samson getting tangled in the garland, panicking, and me watching my tree spin and then start to topple over. This year I have the new pup Athena so I am wondering how that is going to go they are so hyper. Actually I just give the dogs an extra treat on Christmas, my father in law always sends them yummy gifts as presents each year. I can't believe the holidays are right around the corner, tis the season to have no money. LOL
We also have a neighborhood here in Tucson that decorates every house for Christmas, so last year we put a very fancy red velvet collar with bells on Samson and took him on a stroll through there. Not sure if we will do that this year, last year a woman didn't heed my warning and he boxed her Shit Tzu a couple of feet.

This year should be interesting, Brian and i got Bandit 2 days before christmas last year, and i kept the tree up untill new years day, and all Bandit wanted to do was eat the ornaments
So this year, i dont know if i want to put a tree, maybe i will get a real one, no more fake trees. I also want to put those antlers on Bandit and get some pictures done of him. Can you imagine, I dress him up all the time, so i can see him getting the antlers off and shredding them, lol
But i am getting our pictures done for the holidays at the end of the month. It will be me, Brian and Bandit, so as soon as i get them, they will be going on the website. That is another thing that i have to work on. I haven't had the time to do anything with it.

Christmas already! My boxes of ornaments are still sitting on the floor of the garage waiting to go up in the rafters and attic! I should just give up that idea.
Ruby gets a stocking and extra treats. And she has a choice of wearing the reindeer antlers and "playing the reindeer" at our Christmas party or going to the kennel. I think she prefers the kennel.

Argh don't make me think about Christmas yet!!! LOL
Last year Rebelle was our Christmas present as we got her on Dec 22nd. She was fine with the tree and decorations. I hope Copper will be as well behaved.
I've already decided what the pups are getting this year, aside from some treats of course. I'm having a HUGE bed made that's big enough for both of them to cuddle on together. Rebelle will most likely get a winter coat made also. I'm going to use Belle's puppy coat for Copper until he's bigger.
Can't wait for the holidays

Let me tell you guys, because of the dogs our tree always goes in the same spot...in a corner, surrounded on two sides with furniture, and a baby gate in front of it. LOL How glamorous is that? With Poppy, the newest puppy in the house, I can see that nothing will change this year.
Tucker *loves* the holidays. Last year my daughter had all of her wrapped gifts in her bedroom closet and he hauled them out one by one, and opened every single one! *G* I can imagine what he was thinking, "oh great MORE socks!" Poor sweetie was sure there was something good in there for him!

Ours must be the only Christmas Tree with a metal fence enclosure around it!! Ttakas and Bronte were 7 months old the first Christmas we had them - the following year we thought they were old enough to know to stay away from the tree - NOT! We decorated the tree and the kids and I went to a Carol Service - hubby was home downstairs watching TV when he heard a crash!! The daily game of tag included a run around the tree......
up went the enclosure again, and we've not taken any chances since then!! Santa always bring them gifts, and they also give the kids gifts!!

Markus usually gets more presents than I do. When he was a puppy we put the tree up on a table and screwed the stand to it. That way there was no way he could knock it over. When I was young, are tree was always wired to the wall as our cat tried to climb it once and it fell over.LOL

I always have a stocking for each of the animals. One year the dogs all got matching collars and name tags. They get treats and new balls and kongs etc. from santa. I end up spending a fortune on them - oh, well it's worth it.
They are so much fun to watch - they get so excited Christmas morning - just like little kids!

Both of mine get stockings and lots of presents. Beauty is a dear about the tree. She never notices other than to give it a good smell when we first bring it in. Indy, on the other hand, thinks it's his personal bathroom at first!!! Ugh. He is also quite fond of all the toys on the tree. Imagine, a toy tree "just for me"! Hopefully, he'll be better this year since he will be 2....????
