longer bottom jaw?

Is it normal for a boxer to have a longer botton jaw? today i saw a boxer and stopped to talk to the owners, and I had to ask if she was a pure boxer just cause her jaw stuck out so much. her jowls didn't cover it at all, and you could see her teeth. i actually thought she was part bulldog.
anyways, just wondering if this is normal?

boxers are supposed to have an underbite. I think the standard distance between the top front teeth and the bottom front teeth is supposed to be about the width of a pencil. Poor Sascha has an underbite of about three quarters of an inch!!! Her bottom teeth are usually hangin out of her mouth.

Sometimes if Titan is really excited he moves his jaw a certain way to where his lower front teeth stick out past his upper lip, like a bulldog to where his jowls dont cover his teeth. But if you life up on your dog's jowls normally you can see the lower front teeth actually fit over top of the upper front teeth and cover them, but they fit really close together. But it's suppose to be like that. Maybe their dog just had it a bit excessive, or was biting a tad off at that time.

Well its not in the "normal standard" but it happens, If you look in the AKC standards it says that the lips have to cover the bottom teeth and that they should never show. But not all boxers are bred to standard. So there is nothing wrong with your baby she just isn't a blueprint of the breed - There's nothing wrong with that
