is that what i think it is???

ok folks, help me out here.
Murphy is 14 months old, we had him neutered about 7 months. at the time, only one testicle had dropped. My vet, who i like a lot, said they get both of 'em out, even though the second was in his belly. But sometimes, especially when i first come home from work and Murphy's excited, i could sweat i see the second teste poking through, near the base of his thingy. I asked the vet's assistant on the phone and she verified they get both. i have an appointment at the vet next week so i'll talk to him about it then, but for now i'm perplexed.
as a side note, literally from the day we brought him home after being neutered, he's been a crazy dog. it was explained to me as an immediate release of hormones after that procedure, but i'm just wondering.
anyone???

I think that little thingy at the base of his penis is normal. That becomes round and big and they get excited. As for his energy level, sorry can't help you there. Was he a crazy dog before the neuter?

I'm sure I've seen a thread on this before.
You are talking about two bulges along the base of the penis? Kind of resembling testicles?
Harley also has this from time to time, he was neutered at about 5 months. No worry, it's normal.

Omar and Magnum both have this too when they are excited. When they calm down it goes away. Don't worry - it is completely normal.

As far as Murphy's craziness is concerned - you had him neutered just as he was entering what we boxer owners call his "teenage years" so it's really more of a coincedence than anything. He's just full of energy and onery - he's a completely normal boxer. He should begin to calm down soon - and the neutering will help that - can you imagine if you DIDN'T have him neutered? Whew!! Even after Murphy matures a little more, he may still be a little wild - that may just be his temperment. My Magnum has always been an Energizer Bunny and he was neutered at 8 months.
