Small boxer???

Hi all I have a question. My 16 mth old boxer Gia is only weighing about 40 lbs. She's pretty small. She looks skinny, but is getting fed NutroMax twice a day. She's very energetic and happy. I just wondered if this is a normal weight for her. She still only comes up to about the bottom of my knee when she's on all fours. She's definitely not anywhere close to the other boxers in my area as to the size. She hasn't filled out yet and still looks a little bit like a puppy but you can definitely see how she's matured.

She might grow a little more before it is all said and done. My Aniah shot up like a weed and then just stopped. She is now 16 months and a little and weighs in a 51 lbs. She is my petite little princess. I think she may get a little more broad across the chest but not by much i think.
Incidentally I met a beautiful little brindle boxer girl at the post office the other day who was 4 years old and was only 44 lbs. I asked her mom how old she was expecting to hear like 10-11 months or so. When she said 4 years I was amazed. She was a very little girl, but filled out and healthy looking.....just small.

I would suggest a higher quality food, which may also help with the skinniness but will definitely keep her healthy as long as possible (Nutro Max is pretty crummy), there's a feeding sub forum on here that can probably help you out. But Boxer come in all sizes, I've seen them anywhere from 30 pounds to over 100 pounds, so there's a HUGE range, 40-60 seems to be relatively normal for females, so as long as she's overall healthy I would be less concerned on weight and size and more concerned with a healthy diet, exercise, and her overall health.

Good luck!

My male who is almost 2 (about 10 days) weighs in the low 60's. He eats well Taste of the Wild about 3 cups a day plus whatever the girls leave to long. but he is always on the go. While walking the other day we saw a nice dark colored male and my wife said look how big he is. Will Levi get that big? I don't think so.

My Disco is very tiny, only 40lbs at 3 years old. She comes about up to my knee too.
