The Boxer standard does NOT have a disqualification for size. Most standards mention a size within an inch or two of what the ideal size in height is.

Now, where are you measuring your dog? Dogs are measured at the withers, right where the neck falls into the shoulder, also most people don't measure correctly, as a wicket is the true means to measure the height.

judging of dogs can be relative to what is entered into the ring, for instance, you could have a taller dog and even though all the others were shorter, if your dog was more balanced, and had better overall breed type, he might win, on the other hand, your dog could be over looked, just because he stood out.

This is what makes judging so interesting, we all look at the standard in our own way. What one likes, one other may not, judges sometimes put more on a front, head, rear, etc. This is why we keep showing :0)

Absolutely!! I think, as in humans, we're all different but still wonderful, and the same should be said for our boxer sons and daughters

As with almost everyone here, I am lost as to the purpose of this thread. Unless one plans on showing and breeding their boxer(s), who cares if they meet the "standard". I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but my boys are perfect in every way. They might not meet the textbook standard but they sure meet mine. Who cares what someone else might think. If there was a "standard" for humans, most, if not all, would not meet them. All the pictures I see on this site of everyone's boxers shows that each and every one of them are beautiful beyond a shadow of doubt.
