Where to find?

I have a friend who has a family member... she says that she owned the heaviest Boxer in the U.S. He was German bloodlined weighing in at 160lbs. I didn't think a Boxer could get that big and not be FAT. Any idea on if this would be true? And where I could actually find out?

We just bought a "black" pup from a Breeder. She had a 7 month old that weighed 105lbs already.

If not fat, I'd be surprised if it's a boxer and not a bullmastiff or some mix. That is more than double the size an adult male of this breed is supposed to be - to gross caricature proportions. All boxers are of German bloodlines However, those originating in Germany are typically smaller (as in, less tall) than their North American counterparts. So you've got many things that don't sound quite right there. I guess it's possible to have a giant - but it's not where I'd put a great deal of faith.

As for your "black" boxer - if it is actually black, then it cannot possibly be a pure bred boxer. The boxer breed does not have the genes for black coat colour. Any dog that is actually black got those genes from another breed.

The site rules - the ones you agreed to abide by when you requested membership here - do not allow "Black" boxer threads. We really have had enough of backyard breeders and other idiots trying to advertise them.

- "Black boxer" threads are not allowed: there are no black boxers because it is a genetic impossibility to have a pure bred black boxer. If you "see" one it is likely a cross breed or a "reverse brindle". We have enough of back yard breeders advertising them.
In keeping with those rules, this thread is closed.
