7 nipples?

I just noticed Buttons only has 7 nipples, that's a bit odd is it not? They're not symetrical either, just dotted here and there.

Is this quite common?

It's very common for dogs to have odd numbers of nipples - and that's equally common in males as females. The total number varies also, but is somewhat influenced by size (larger dogs generally having more sets than smaller ones do). There have been a few threads on the topic over the years which you'd likely find with a search if you want to read similar queries.

Phew! I just did a proper search (must have mucked it up the first time ) and you are right, of course, this is very common.

And 7 seems to be a magic number too !
