looking for (non)fiction story told from dogs view
Hello Boxerlovers,
I am looking for books that are been told from the perspective of
the dog itself, so the story is seen through the eyes of a dog.
It doesnt have to be about a boxer but just dogs.
Like some kind of psychology the way they describe the thoughts
that dogs would have, the way they would think.
I really hope i can find a book like that, I think it must be really
entertaining and that you can learn as well.
If anyone of you knows a book like that please let me know
thanks
Eveline

I don't know of any non-fiction books from the dog's perspective. Let us all know if you find one.
A great non-fiction book that is as close as I've read to what you're looking for is called, "Dog is My Co-Pilot." It's true stories written by acclaimed authors about their dogs. The stories aren't really written from the dog's perspective, but the insight that the writers seem to have into the dog psychie is great.
There's a really cute children's book fictional series called, "Hank the Cowdog." Very cute stories.
Good luck and let us know what you find!

That's great MyGirlHeidi, thanks a lot!!
I have heard also from a great story What Wendell wants but its not
from the dogs perspective but a must for dog addicts, all the reasons
why you're in love with your dog and all, seems very funny.
Anyone knows it?
Dog is my co-pilot, saw that one a couple of times on online stores,
'll have to check it out some more then

books
I read a great one called "The Dog Who Spoke With the Gods". It's about a pit bull, and a little on the tragic side, but it has sections with his point of view. Sorry I don't have the author's name, I'm at work.

Yes, It was the first I came across, its from Diane Jessup
Its about a dog who is been used for testing (fiction story)
When Elizabeth, a young pre-med. student happens upon Damien, a dog being used in laboratory research on her campus, she has no way of knowing how drastically her life- and her beliefs- will be changed. Without meaning to, she slowly becomes drawn into the dog's fate and is soon torn between the lo9ve and respect she has come to feel for Damien and the sense of loyalty and obligation she feels for the medical profession as well as her father and grandfather, both cardiac surgeons.
With an uncanny ability to write convincingly about life from the point of view of a canine, Diane Jessup tells an extraordinary story of friendship and loyalty. Few writers have ever shown the world of man's closest friend as clearly and movingly. For anyone who has ever loved a dog this is a must read.

Gerald's Game by Stephen King. Every other chapter is written from the dog's point of view.
Be warned though, it is not a pleasant story. This guy didn't feel like spending any more money on his dog so he drove him to the woods and "set him free." To be honest, I never finished reading the book because it broke my heart to read what that poor dog went through.

From Stephen King wow! But I guess I wont be reading that one then :s
All his stories are kinda creepy, and I dont want to read about dogs in that
way I really can't stand hearing bad things happen to dogs
Thats why I didn't dare to watch movies with dogs in it when I was little.

The Dog Who Spoke with the Gods
I did read it. I liked the way it presented the animal medical testing dilema. However, if you're not into sad dog stories, I'd avoid it. There are some pretty tragic things that happen. I don't want to give away too much of the plot, so I'll just leave it at that.
