Jan Fennel is coming to speak!
Jan Fennel of the Dog Listener is coming to my college campus to speeak on Saturday! I have not read the book but everyone here always talks about what a great book it is. Should I go and see her speak? It costs $20 and is on Valentines Day so I am curious if you guys think it is worth it.
I do need a brush up on training techniques as I have just added a second boxer pup to the pack.
Let me know what you think and if you have been to one of her talks.
Thanks!
Jody

Don't think twice: GO!!!!
I'm sure it will be worth every penny of the $20, especially if you get to ask questions and if you are planning to add another dog to your pack.
I'm very jealous!!
We expect a FULL DETAILED REPORT when you get back. So take good notes!

I hope it is not widely attended so I get some one on one time!!

I would be there in a heartbeat!
I went to her website and asked if she would consider giving a talk and book signing in the New Haven, Connecticut area. I also told her that everyone on BW praises the work she does with dogs.

Wow! What an experience! She is a really great woman.
I had such a great time and she gave some great advice about my two boxers. She laughed and said "clowns" are the hardest to catch on because they always want to play and make it a game. She did say that she thought boxers are very smart and indicated that my boys had me well trained!
The only problem is getting my husband to buy into the idea. He is going to have a tough time ignoring the wiggle butts. He says it is the best part of his day.
Have any of you tried this method? How do you feel about the results?

I have following the methods from her book fairly well and I have definitely seen improvement with Jesse. I need to work on my consistency better. My husband was the only one having problems with Jesse after I had been doing this for about a month. Jesse kept barking at him for attention. I had DH ignore her for a full day and then when he entered a room with her and now she never barks for attention. Life is good
I am glad you had a good time. Did your hubby go with you?
